payoneer is this a joke ?

A week a go ive submit my id to payoneer and today i got an email from them.

In adhering to Payoneer's Security policy, we ask that you provide us with a copy of a valid government issued passport with a photo.

Please check that the passport matches the details provided on your Payoneer card application. Please make sure the document is clear, and has your name and your date of birth displayed clearly in English.

In addition, we ask that you send us a photo of yourself holding your photo ID and a piece of paper with "Payoneer" and today's date handwritten on it.

Is this a joke ?

...while standing on one leg, with a Canon 5D on a tripod with the timer set for no more than 5 seconds, in front of a mirror so we can also see the back of your head. Additionally, the light bulbs in your room must be energy saving LED bulbs, with no more than 5 bulbs on during the time of the photo, and no less than 2.

Thank you.

Question: is payoneer asking this to most/everyone, or just to you?

For usc 2257 model docs it is common to ask a photo of the performer holding the ID in hand next to face. We have such a photo for every cam girls we registered. However, I wonder what if we asked to also hold a piece of paper with "tubecamgirl" and today's date handwritten in it, but well, for cam girls you see them in cam so it is easier to figure who you deal with, than payoneer. And by the way, payoneer could ask you to open cam in skype, that is harder to fake and quicker to do.

Well i dont have a passport and wont get one...

Nissim kindly hit me up on icq.

Thanks

Klen 04-12-2014 06:41 AM

Hmm usuals such request is associated with paxum, tho there only if you want to use ETF feature.

acer19 04-12-2014 06:55 AM

It is from payoneer as for paxum never had any issue with them, Chris and Ruth always provide great support.

2MuchMark 04-12-2014 07:27 AM

I think maybe you should be thanking them for asking you for this. You've got to know that they are protecting themselves AND YOU against all the fraudsters out there. For them to ask you & their other customers for more ID is time consuming and expense for payoneer.

If I were you, I would provide them with the info they need. If you think they are asking for too much, close your account instead. Posting complaints about this on GFY wastes your time and only makes things harder for them.

acer19 04-12-2014 07:38 AM

Thanking them for ? Protecting myself ? Are you kidding me ?

That sound like ive found/stole a wallet, take the id card to open a payoneer account order their mastercard and check every fucking day into the guy mailbox to stole the mastercard they send me/him...

Thats just retarded. But thanks for your input **********

acer19 04-12-2014 07:40 AM

I dont have a passport and wont spend $130 to get one unless they send me the funds to do so.

slayer69 04-12-2014 07:52 AM

Payoneer is a joke. They make it near impossible to take money out of it. Beware if you do take money out too often they will threaten to close your Account. They are a nightmare.

Stick to Paxum...

Lol those rules are actually made to protect issuer, not clients.

i'm afraid probably this true  . i was planning to keep funds then withdraw it once via ATM . mostly they will ruin my card after first withdraw :Oh crap

damn, bastards need to be annexed

bl4h 04-12-2014 10:25 PM

I pretty much buy all my daily stuff with my payoneer card. gas stations, atms. never had a problem with it. but i got transferred to it from an affiliate program so probably had a go to the front of the line pass. alls I can say is that you can spend money often and theres never problems. i dunno what all the speculation is

Tom.K 04-12-2014 10:46 PM

I use payoneer card for purchasing things everywhere and I'm generally happy with it. Few years ago it was refused on some points, but in last two years it's working everywhere. I have it connected with paypal and all income which is coming to paypal is going to that card. I don't withdraw money on ATM however.

If you don't have passport, just write email to them and explain. You probably have some other government issued ID. And some domestic animal costume. Tripod, mirror, energy saving lights or LED lights and hat with a propeller on top... and penis shaped lollipop to put in your mouth. :)

@acer19: I do apologize for any inconvenience caused by our approval requirements. While it is indeed rare that we would ask for an image of yourself holding the ID (in addition to the ID copy) it is something that we may ask for on a case by case basis.

While I do understand that it requires effort on your end, please understand that this procedure is meant to ensure the financial security of our account holders.

Acer think of it this way. Only you would have all of the documentation necessary to prove who you are, right? Maybe its possible that someone else is pretending to be you? Maybe they see someone trying to log into your account?

Imagine if you had money in the account and someone else is trying to get it, claiming to be you. Maybe he has your credit card info and a utility bill because he stole it out of your mailbox (this happens often). If Payoneer or anyone else let someone else access your account, you would be in here screaming that Payoneer didn't do enough to protect you, right?

Identity theft and fraud in general is a huge problem. Complaining about companies trying to protect you is not helping anyone except the fraudsters.

Once again, this is not to protect customers,is to protect issuer, for example if they suspect fraud they will ask id and if customer refuse then chance how that customer is fraudster is much bigger.Plus it is also a way to check did customer left real data and not fake.

CPA-Rush 04-13-2014 09:29 AM

payoneer= big brother :thumbsup

acer19 04-13-2014 10:18 AM
