i don't hate america, and i don't hate bush, so that makes me probably unpopular here. but i was fairly disappointed with his abilities to answer the questions.

I didn't get to see the speech I am sure that it was more on the war. but, it is not the war that I am interested in, it is the fallout of it that is gonna be the bitch.

That's exactly what I don't understand. How's he going to get more support like that? He didn't answer any of the questions. At least if he gave some good answers he could change some opinions, but he sounded like a broken record. He should fire his public relations team.

The Korea thing is starting to worry me more about the Iraq thing.

That's one thing he did give an answer on. He said it's a regional problem. In other words, the US isn't going to get involved there militarily.

I listened and heard something very clearly said. He sees Iraq as a clear and present danger to the US. The constant references to Sept 11 2001 were emphatic.

Bush believes that Saddam has ignored the UN for 12 years and nothing has changed in the past few month, on that he is correct. He believes that Iraq will use it's weapons for terror against the US; 9/11 has made it clear that it can be done. Regardless of the UN we will be going to war because Saddam will never disarm any other way.

I think the funniest thing bush said tonight was how he wanted to keep America free. How free are we when they can wiretap our phones, read our emails and intercept our internet transmissions. Is that freedom?

Yes, Saddam fucked up. He is an asshole and should be stopped. He is a threat I agree.

But what few people know is, that in Desert Storm, a sharpshooter had Saddam in the cross hairs and was given an order not to shoot. This could have been avoided years ago.

Saddam is not going to back down... we are going to war. It's just a matter of time.

Sure. And Saddam should have been dealt with before. I just find it funny that they're painting this picture that Saddam should be stopped, when he hasn't done anything in over a decade. It's something that would've been easier to do back in 1990 because he actually did something then and it was fresh in people's minds. Nobody would've opposed it then, not the French, or the Germans, or anybody else. But now it's a tough sales pitch.

I don't hate America, in fact I love this country. And I don't think anybody hates Bush.

Following his logic after US is done with Iraq it should disarm Russia cause it has nuclear (sorry nucular) weapons, and god know what those crazie Russkies one day might do, and then disarm France as well since they don't agree with Bush. China and India should be disarmed too, and what about Britain? Can't trust them completely. And if any country is about to acquire "weapons of mass destruction" US should bomb them back to the stone age. This way it will guarantee its place as the only "nucular" superpower.
And BTW as Bush himself said the press conference is "scripted".
And whoever says it's not about oil should ask themselves: "Why aren't they attacking North Korea?" It has weapons of mass destruction, more advanced than Iraq's and has openly expressed its antagonism towards US. But it has no oil so who gives a fuck what it has or says.
What about Pakistan? It has nuclear weapons and is a hotbed of terrorism, in fact many Bin Laden associates are hiding there. Why US shouldn't disarm them? Yeah, cause there's nothing but sand there.
