nicely played.

mineistaken 02-02-2014 06:37 PM

Ok, so you guys said its best offense vs best defense. I see best defense, but where is that best offense? 3 quarters passed and Denver did not even reach 20 yards? Is this common or spectacular under achievement?

I was thinking about that. Somebody said that Denver is more favorite team in terms of US citizens. So most of the money went on Denver. Hundreds of million or even more to be made.

Scott McD 02-02-2014 06:49 PM

Someone should put Denver out of their misery...

MaDalton 02-02-2014 06:52 PM

was there ever any Superbowl that ended with 0 points for one team?

MaDalton 02-02-2014 06:52 PM

ok - my question was just answered - no

Spunky 02-02-2014 06:56 PM

Seahawks all the way!

crockett 02-02-2014 06:57 PM

Are they even trying?

dyna mo 02-02-2014 06:57 PM

Hey denver- it's called tackling. Look into it.

Scott McD 02-02-2014 06:59 PM

People worried about the weather being bad and wasting the game.

Now we need a snowstorm to make the game interesting...

I wish it would but based on previous 3 quarters would say unlikely. :2 cents:

especiall not with calling on-side kicks with a full quarter left. too risky with seattle offense killing it.

If that actually happened, especially against the Seattle defense, then it would prove this entire season has been rigged for Manning's "legacy".

No, it wouldn't.

The Broncos were shaken up from the fuckup on the very first play. They never recovered psychologically.

The best defense beats the best defense.. My AZ Cardinals beat the Seahawks at Seattle, something no other teams did this year. QB Palmer threw 4 INTs but our defense is what won us the game..

Denver has no defense..

Pretty funny. Seems the network noticed it too because they made a pretty clear effort to keep her face off the screen during the final interview

Never build your offense around a player the Bengals didn't want.

did they just say "world champion"? how can you be world champion in something that is happening just in one country?

What difference does it make? It's quite nitpicky to scrutinize the comment. I mean really.

no, it isn't. It's unrealistic to think the NFL is leaving money on the table by not allowing other nations to compete due to yankee arrogance.

I think you misunderstood the point. He was laughing at how come NATIONAL championship title is WORLD champions title.
Also world championship titles are given in competitions where national teams compete, not clubs. So that would be team USA Vs some country in the finals.

I don't think I did. Maybe. I look at it like a rock band that goes on a world tour. They don't hit every country in the world, only the ones that it makes sense to spend the money to tour there. But technically, it's not a world tour, if you want to argue semantics.

The NFL is no different. + the super bowl began when the world was much smaller, the expression lives on through tradition, not arrogance.

Nevertheless, the league is making great strides in expanding the game to other countries. the UK for instance. Apparently it takes quite a few billion dollars to do so. Asia is also planned on being expanded into. I think I recall reading that expansion into Asia is predicted to cost $20 billion.

Does MLS winner call itself world champion as well?

You miss the point completely. Seahawks played in US championship and they are champions of USA. As simple as that.

no, I didn't miss the point, which was a nitpicky point re: semantics, in fact, I nailed the point perfectly.

How is that semantics while its beyond stupidity?

Do Indian cricket league winners call themselves world champions?

I couldn't care less if cricket claims world champions. whoopd doo. If someone in some foreign land gets upset about the fact they don't have a NFL franchise and therefor, the catch phrase is void then start a franchise and get to the super bowl.

America's cup yacht racing trophy is another example. It's not just Americans racing, it's many countries. I guess we should make a rule other countries can't participate because, you know, it's America's cup.
