Lykos 12-18-2013 11:12 AM

Gonna watch it :)

Scott McD 12-18-2013 11:30 AM

Read a few mixed reviews and was put off by it a little.

Might just wait for the DVD...

k0nr4d 12-18-2013 11:32 AM

I found it horrible. Goes from spaceship to spaceship, cyrillic computer? no problem. Chinese computer? No problem.

Pronstar 12-18-2013 11:36 AM

Just to add, if you haven't seen it yet, don't repeat my mistake, watch it in 3d

nexcom28 12-18-2013 11:50 AM

Yeah, I saw it in imax 3d. Pretty great, i'm pretty sure in 2d dvd it won't quite have the same wow factor. Still decent movie and worth watching on any screen.

i like space...i like sci fi...its hard to make a space movie that sucks...have to hand it to the gravity team for making one...add in george cloony and what else to expect?...

she has a nice figure for her age tho...would bang...

Wellness Cash 12-18-2013 01:30 PM

I was not to impressed with the movie, other than special effects it was mediocre at best.

bronco67 12-18-2013 01:52 PM

Whoever isn't impressed by this movie, then I don't know what the hell you watch movies for. This is an "experience" movie. If you didn't experience it, then you may be broken inside.

People think it was great because the marketing companies told them it was great.

For a tranny she pulls the illusion off very convincingly indeed.

adultchatpay 12-18-2013 04:15 PM

I agree, it's one of the best space themed movie ever. And Sandra Bullock is very sexy in some scenes.
But i only saw 2-3 cast in the movie.

seeandsee 12-18-2013 04:49 PM

Its nice 3d space spectacle, everything else is forgettable...

mineistaken 12-18-2013 04:57 PM

I expected her to meet russians or chinese and have some interactions, drama etc. It was pretty boring.

Nikki_Licks 12-18-2013 05:02 PM

The previews looked awesome, can't wait to see it.

xNetworx 12-18-2013 05:21 PM

Thought it sucked :2 cents:

arock10 12-18-2013 05:56 PM

Movie was bad ass. Only thing I bothered seeing in theaters this year and was happy with the choice

So... what movie in your opinion has EVER had better (space) visual effects?

Have to agree, found myself watching it thinking *yeah riiiiight* and when will this nonsense stop.

Zuzana Designs 12-18-2013 06:24 PM

Need to check this movie out. My parents liked it when they saw it in 3D.

Re-read and comprehend what I said.

MaDalton 12-19-2013 09:53 AM

not a movie for the 4chan generation that has lost all sense of imagination...

but I enjoyed it

just a punk 12-19-2013 01:09 PM

Just watched it. One of the most stupid movies I've seen so far. Even fickin' Armageddon was much closer to the reality.

Why? It was extremely funny one IMHO. I was laughing about 99% of that movie :) Because it was a comedy, while Gravity is just a stupid one and even not funny at all.

he just said other than the special effects...

since when does effects make a movie great or not anyway? Safe to say battlefield earth has superior effects compared to 2001 a space odyssy, does that make it better too?

The constant "oh shit this isn't working, ok it's fine now". "Oh shit now this isn't working we're fucked, phew problem solved"......"oh shit....."

Can't stand movies like that... :2 cents:

John-ACWM 12-20-2013 04:34 AM

I want to see it in the cinema, an didn't have the time. Soon, I hope.

Red Ezra 12-20-2013 05:20 AM

the camera work integration with computer fx is amaze balls

bronco67 12-20-2013 07:16 AM

Suspending disbelief is a muscle to develop if you'd like to enjoy movies, instead of picking them apart. It's a movie.

Or maybe you have no clue what makes a good movie? :)

Elli 12-20-2013 12:23 PM

Very intense movie. The Hollywood ending quite ruined the effect for me, though. I would have preferred a little less sunshine and happy, more Sunshine.

experience: the most overrated word of the moment.
If i'm beaten, it is also an experience.
If something makes me puke it's also an experience...
When i go to the toilet: an experience too.
A post of paul markham: experience :winkwink:

Europa Report.

Indie movie, no big name actors, actually has solid science (I think) and ddoesn't rely on big budget 3d effects. The movie itself is also infinitely better.

ruff 12-20-2013 08:14 PM

Jeez, opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one.

The Apollo landings. The best visual effects that are still fooling people today:2 cents:

Why did you find it stupid?

(Actually I liked Armageddon - crazy fun and good VFX and the wedding at the very end was kinda sorta awesome and made me almost watery).

Here in Montreal there has been a kind of a small revival of repetoire cinema, showing lots of older movies on the big screen (Back to the Future, Star Trek Wrath of Khan, etc)... (Called the Digital Film Festival at the Scotia bank Theatre) and I heard the IMAX theatre here will start showing old Imax movies as well. Maybe Gravity will be re-released on IMAX again sometime soon.

I didn't like Sunshine much... Some kind of Quantum bomb to fix the sun sounded like a cool Sci-Fi idea and some parts were great, but overall I was disappointed.

Because there are too many flaws for a sci-fi movie and too boring for a blockbuster. Armageddon was very interesting and funny indeed and was not pretending on sci-fi authenticity.

Antonio 12-21-2013 05:29 AM

Honestly, one of the best movies I have seen in a loooooong time. Why do people want it to be "realistic" or "scientifically accurate" is beyond me, you want something realistic, go watch a documentary. This was a great movie and Sandra Bullock was brilliant.

arock10 12-21-2013 07:21 AM

Reality tv has ruined people's ability to enjoy a nice scifi movie
