Best Pizza?
1. Pizza Hut (Kansas)
2. Dominos (Michigan) 3. Little Caesars (Michigan) 4. Papa Johns (Kentucky) 5. California Pizza Kitchen (California) 6. Papa Murphy?s (Washington) You would think that, based on pizza lore, Chicago or New York would be in the top handful? FULL LIST :helpme |
i think everybody agrees the best pizzas don't come from franchise chains.

Sales =/= best
That's like saying Walmart is better than Nordstrom cause they outsell Nordstrom. No, it just means Walmart sells more shitty stuff than Nordstrom sells good stuff. |

These listed above obviously go by both total gross annual revenue, and reach (i.e. stores/franchises). Quote:

Pizza Hut, Dominos, etc., are pretty far from "pizza" and more an American renovation gone wrong |

Ironically, I'd say Costco is better than all of those 6, and Round Table better than those and Costco. |

Years ago I returned to NJ, and a huge dinner was held - Not that I am something special and all that, but it's not often I visit NJ. The only thing worth going back for is the freaking pizza. I don't know what it is, but the pizza there is completely different. So they said "anything you want for dinner" and I'm like "pizza". Behind my back they ordered six boxes of fucking dominos. Idiots; I can get that shit anywhere.
Pizza is pizza, but great pizza doesn't come from a chain. |

As long as there is pineapple on the pie I honestly don't mind where it's from.

The second time, again, it took forever to get the food and when it came it was burned badly and only about 35% of the pizza was edible. they gave us a second free pizza. The last time I went the service was better, but the pizza just wasn't all that great. It wasn't bad, but not good enough that I would go out of my way to get it. Maybe it is just the location I have been to though. |
I do not like any of the top 3.
Pizza Hut used to be good but has gone to shit. Dominos has gone to shit, but they do OK with their (new?) "artesian pizza." Little Caesars has really, really gone to shit. Almost got sick the last time I ate it. I thought they were long gone until I moved to South Florida. I remember loving them 25 years ago. |
Anyway, the best pizza is that you buy at 4 AM in Brooklyn, on some side street, at a place that always seems to be open.
|
i hate finding a great pizza place the new owners comes in and it sucks
|
the best pizza i ever had was in south beach...there is a little hole in the wall pizza spot

My bbq!
all kinds of toppings |
The best Pizza is your LOCAL pizza restauant. Try to avoid the chains. If you must go with a chain, Dominos makes some mighty tasty pizza. Whatever you do though, NEVER by Papa Johns. Their pizza tastes like shit and the president of PJ's is a real dick.

My go to is a large pie with extra cheese, garlic, and sausage, well done from Carmine's Pizza Factory in Jersey City, New Jersey.

i don't think i could ever pick a favourite style no less a single place. too many styles i love to pick just one. thin crust, true italian style, chicago style, nyc style.. shit even windsor has a style (pretty much nyc but with shredded pepperoni) I even like my little pita pizza's I do at home, fun kids idea by the way.
only kind i really don't like is hawaiian... can't put fruit on there, just not right. |

Mike Piazza is probably the best Piazza.

If in NYC, go to Patsy's Pizzeria in East Harlem NY 117th St. & 1st Ave. Be warned that the other Patsy's in Manhattan license the name and are not anywhere near as good.
|
3 brothers on seaside boardwalk...the slices are about 3x the size of a normal slice of pizza
