You are without a doubt the biggest jerkoff on the board. I know you get off on irritating people, but it's getting old. I wonder if you will ever have the balls to make an appearance at a US convention?

Of course he's an American

shermo 02-27-2003 03:05 AM

That sucks. I grew up with the guy. He taught me how to make puppets out of empty water jugs!

I wonder if Mr. McFeeley is still around?

Mishi 02-27-2003 03:09 AM

I'm sad, but glad that he was able to bring so much joy to so many lives. I grew up with him. He was like a friend.

Rest in peace, Fred Rogers - I'm glad I (kinda sorta) knew ya.

no, that's Mr. Jackson.

On-top 02-27-2003 03:14 AM

It's sad to see Fred go. I was just thinking the other day about all those PBS shows I watched growing up. It's crazy how long ago some that was.

Rogers died at his Pittsburgh home, said family spokesman David Newell, who played Mr. McFeely on the show.

Mutt 02-27-2003 03:29 AM

too many good jokes could go here but Mr. Rogers was an icon so i'll pass.

the amazing thing about Mr. Rogers was that supposedly he was EXACTLY like that in real life, it wasn't an act.

sad, Charles Schultz gone, Mr. Rogers............. next thing you'll be telling me is that Jim Henson is dead!

If anybody has ever heard any of the National Lampoon comedy albums from the 70's there is a classic bit on one of them where Mr. Rogers gets a visit on his show by a stoned black jazz bass player. Real funny.

Maybe it's on Kazaa?

OzKaNoz 02-27-2003 03:31 AM

That's sad, he was a good man.

That rumor was started by the christian right in the 80's because they thought he was evil.

NakedCherry 02-27-2003 04:30 AM

I can't believe some of you ignorant
fools saying such stupid things about
the loss of a human life. You show us
all what losers you truly are. The world
is in such a mess, can't you please be
a bit more sensitive?

We miss you Mr Rogers!

Not to be rude, but are you a real person or some male user's fake account that he uses to cause trouble on GFY?

R.I.P. Mr. Rogers.

Rocky 02-27-2003 05:02 AM

can you say dead?

sure you can...dead

Sarah_Jayne 02-27-2003 05:45 AM

that really is so sad..I'll actually shed a small tear over that one. Atleast his battle was brief. No one over here has a clue who he is...so when I looked all shocked and went 'Mr Roger's died' they all had a blank look. Heathens.

he taught many of us to use our imaginations.

boneprone 02-27-2003 08:14 AM

Mr Rodgers was Boneprone Approved.
Kinda sad.

But his shows will run forever.
Something I hope my children watch when they grow up as I did.

He was a strange fellow.
But a good guy none the less. Im sure he had my sites bookmarked.

The people at the SuperBowl must have known he was dying.
I thought it was strange to see him as the honorary host of the super bowl last month doing the coin toss.

matty 02-27-2003 08:20 AM

FUCK, MR ROGERS WAS CHILL.

Watched that every day. I agree w/ bone, he was a strange man, any man with such a facination for children kinda freaks me out.

But just the same, when i was young and innocent, he was the BEST

SixNine 02-27-2003 08:24 AM

That sucks :(

Sarah_Jayne 02-27-2003 10:19 AM

btw, Jim Henson died on the same day as Sammy Davis jr. I remember because by some strange conincidence my piano lesson that week was 'rainbow connection'

well he was a pastor and the show was his congregation. So, he was talking to kids the way a preacher would.

Lensman 02-27-2003 10:26 AM

R.I.P.

That show drove me to the isane asylum.

alias 02-27-2003 10:43 AM

sad :(

As someone else said hopefully his death was sudden and painless.

XxXotic 02-27-2003 10:45 AM

Poor guy died from stomach cancer. I named my fish after him :( he'll surely be missed but not forgotten
