He is a pretty brilliant guy. That video is classic. At the end he is basically explaining to them how they are idiots who aren't even good at their jobs and they don't know how to respond.

I don't really know much about the dude but saw that earlier today. He utterly wiped the floor with those idiots in a hostile environment, pretty impressive.

he's not offended :) Seen this bandied about and labeled as him 'destroying' them etc (I know you didn't say that OP) - not sure if it's just a different type of humour we have over here, but he's joking throughout that segment and isn't trying to diss them at all. And I'm far from a fan of his 'comedy'.

He basically told them they were all superficial phoneys, it's couched in a little humor as is his profession, but it was a pretty obvious diss IMO.

Some more Brand related news -

I've commented on this to a few people I know here but his act is way different in the US than it is in the UK.

I've watched his career build ever since way back when he was doing that standup show at like 1am and I have gone in and out of thinking he is witty as hell and not being able to stand him. In the States, he pretty much only gives the witty side rather than the Big Brother's Little Brother level junk.

I still think the BBC hung him out to dry for that radio thing with Jonathan Ross. I like that he walked away from them and their 'punishment' and made himself a bigger name.

Russell Brand is a genius, the guy will talk rings round most intelligent people. There is an interview he done with a very famous UK interviewer, Jeremy Paxman, who is known for being very educated and tough talking, the two of them had a bromance throughout the interview, it was amazing. I love watching Russell Brand speak, he is calm and thoughtful when he has to be and super excited at other times, the guy is great.

It is this footage of him addressing a Parliament committee about addiction that was when I decided I like him.

It is long but it shows his intelligence and wit. He runs circles around them whilst being respectful and truly insightful.

I've only recently started liking Russel Brand. In fact, it was his interview on Norm MacDonald's new video podcast that made me a fan. He came off extremely well. Very witty, extremely intelligent guy.
