I've commented on this to a few people I know here but his act is way different in the US than it is in the UK.
I've watched his career build ever since way back when he was doing that standup show at like 1am and I have gone in and out of thinking he is witty as hell and not being able to stand him. In the States, he pretty much only gives the witty side rather than the Big Brother's Little Brother level junk.
I still think the BBC hung him out to dry for that radio thing with Jonathan Ross. I like that he walked away from them and their 'punishment' and made himself a bigger name.Comment

Russell Brand is a genius, the guy will talk rings round most intelligent people. There is an interview he done with a very famous UK interviewer, Jeremy Paxman, who is known for being very educated and tough talking, the two of them had a bromance throughout the interview, it was amazing. I love watching Russell Brand speak, he is calm and thoughtful when he has to be and super excited at other times, the guy is great.Comment

I've only recently started liking Russel Brand. In fact, it was his interview on Norm MacDonald's new video podcast that made me a fan. He came off extremely well. Very witty, extremely intelligent guy.
