Why Canada SUCKS!
http://whymycountrysucks.com/categor...merica/canada/
Take a look. :2 cents: http://www.pocketfives.com/f13/why-c...nadian-673919/ "Why Canada sucks .... By a Canadian" "Not getting into a long debate on the whys just saying it how it is 1st - joke of a justice system ....honestly I really can't believe how much of a joke it really is 2nd - how our culture takes a back seat to immigrant culture.....we are so worried of offending a certain religion or culture that we will change our own 3rd - universal health care..... Waiting times are crazy it just dosent work..... Me or none of my family of 5 have a family doctor and if I needed an important surgery or specialized equipment I'm looking at a wait time of min 8 months 4 - how much of my our money is going to native people... Like seriously enough is enough me or my family never made any treaties we are all Canadians and should be treated equal .... No more special treatment with court cases ( how crazy is that) just because they are native they get a more lenient sentence ..... By LAW.....puke. 5 - our military........ Seriously I don't need to explain here .... Nothing against our soilders ...... Best in the world IMO .... Just the lack of funding and equipment etc.... 6 - end rant ..........merry Christmas ...... Sorry I'm not allowed to say that.... Happy holida..... Ahh fuck it" |

#1. Compare people in prison in the USA to Canada, it's 10 to 1, yet we have less crime? seems the justice system works better than the US one..... #2. Canada celebrates multiculturalism, it's a different approach than America where you give it up to become American. #3. Health care works. Sick people get treated, operations happen. The system works. My Dad got a quad bypass when he needed it. I got helath care when I needed it. Canada has less debt per person than America and a health care system envied by the world. You're an idiot if you think we have bad health care, we have great health care and no one goes bankrupt or looses their house cause they can't pay their doctor bills. I know MANY Americans who lost their homes and virtually everything to pay their medical bills. #4 Actually natives are a small percentage of the population. Are there problems, yes, but both natives and the government are trying to move forward and make it better. In Canada our native population is similar to the black ghettos in the USA, but we give them healthcare, housing, welfare checks and free education to try and break the cycle. What exactly does America do for the black people in the ghettos? oh yeah, gun laws so they can all shoot each other dead...... #5. I agree our military is underfunded. We're friendly with most nations, it's America that everyone wants to kill. Given the choice to live in the USA or Canada, I'd pick Canada. I don't mean this in a bad way and I pray it doesn't happen, but one of the nations you've pissed off is going to sneak in a nuke and vaporize one of your cities very soon. IT'LL HAPPEN. I'm happy in Canada. |

Generally pointing out spelling errors on GFY" is a mistake if for no other reason that to so many users English is indeed a second language and it is a tough one! :2 cents: |

Canadians are just idle nothings. thats the way i see em. they just exist. eat shit and die quietly.
they produce a lot of products and arent anyone to talk shit about, good people for the most part, but I wouldnt wanna live there or be one the funny and talented ones move to the united states |
Yeah, Canadians are political pussies, majorly! You think you guys got it bad, imagine a hole country who doesn't care about getting fucked, that is Canada and no one here can argue successfully against that. My country is a joke and the people are worse, they could care less about the man next to them, and that's one of the few major issues we have, along with the fact most Canadians bend over when asked by our leaders, we have 0 self pride in holding our rights!!
Fell Better. |

The most important and prolific inventor the world has ever known came from Canadian ancestry. Thomas Alva Edison was the last son of Canadian Samuel Edison - (Samuel born in Marshalltown, Nova Scotia). The Edison family came to Canada as United Empire Loyalists after the Americans arrested them for treason and sentenced them to death. In effect, if it weren't for the Edison family finding refuge and re-establishing in Canada...the Americans likely would have killed them - thus ending the lineage that eventually produced the inventor Thomas Edison. The Edison family only moved (back) to the United States after taking part in the unsuccessful MacKenzie Rebellion in the mid 1800s. And still they faced charges and threats to deport them back to Canada. Thomas Edison was simply born in America due to political circumstance back in Canada. Did I merely regurgitate this bit of history from Wikipedia? No. The Edison family are distant Empire Loyalist ancestors of mine who lived on the north shore of Lake Erie (Vienna, Ontario) back in the day. "Idle nothings?" Go fuck yourself. Have someone read you a fucking history book sometime. http://www.grandriveruel.ca/Newslett...son_Museum.htm http://www3.telus.net/st_simons/cr9911.htm Oh - and those "idle nothings" built the Avro Arrow, the Canadarm on the space shuttle, invented the telephone, the snowmobile, basketball, IMAX and hockey. |

I would also like to add a comment as to why it sucks to be Canadian.
I am Canadian, and I live in Capital City of the country. Nearly impossible to get a job here unless you speak the minority french language. Even jobs like a Garbage Truck guy who throws trash into the back requires being fluent in English and french, reading, writing and speaking.. It's horrible. That is why I got into the adult biz. I can't find any jobs here because I am automatically shut out due to the fact that I only speak the MAJORITY language. Luckily, USA is truly a land of freedom and I am able to work for USA over the internet while residing in Canada. Canada doesn't seem to want me, so I will quite happily contribute to helping the US economy. :) |

Why do canadians live in the past so much? Their only accomplishments are burning the white house and the avro arrow and they never shut up about it.
|
I'd love to contribute that site about my country.

I'd bet most American and Canadian citizens alike are hardly properly represented on this board. The few continually vocal people are basically a subset of the "uneducated and/or no-life" cultures which unfortunately can be found on either side of the border. |

Unless you get elected Prime Minister. Then you can learn our second language at your leisure. Canada is no longer a democracy - but most countries aren't anymore. Its a politically correct bureaucracy. A sad joke of a country. |
I agree with our justice system.a human life is worth shit.bring back the death penalty

My country is not even in the list but it sucks badass... :1orglaugh

My wife works for dept of defense. When she decided to apply for a gov't position in such a capacity, she went to night school to re-learn French as she had forgotten most of what she learned in high school. But she took the initiative to actually get qualified versus complaining about it or that it was an unfair requirement. Canada offers both languages in its public school system, thus it is up to each individual if they actually want to learn it or not. Most, however, blow it off and then complain about the gov't requirements afterwards. It's a whole lot easier to complain about something than it is to take the initiative to do something about it. As for the decent jobs being gov't based, I am not sure where you're located, but I've held a couple of VERY lucrative positions that were anything but gov't jobs. And they certainly were not union jobs (I'd never work for a union). For the record, I cannot speak French either, but understand why there is a requirement for a federal position. I will agree, however, it's a giant bureaucracy. (I can't believe I am involved in one these ridiculous drama threads on this rather poor excuse of an adult webmaster business board.... carry on wasting your time ;) |

:1orglaugh What year in history is the correct year to start counting who is an immigrant and who's immigrant culture should be "the country's culture". I mean, just wondering why newly arrived people need to lose their culture in exchange for a culture that appears to be from a different hemisphere, such as Europe. |
Wow! If Canada sucks, so what is left for Brazil?
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9FP7L8yl55...600/favela.jpg THIS IS A FAVELA! I bet you that one week living here you'll think that Canada is a paradise. |

Then all your anti-union shit will just fall apart like a raggedy bitch on meth as you count your money. So annoying to here this bullshit from people who will simply sign up as soon as they get employed. (Like they should) Every time I showed a union pay check to someone working my same job as non-union, the only question they had was "how can I join". You'll do the same. Pfffff! |

If you give the unions too much power then they drive everything right into the ground. Hell, they even rape the company on the way out with their insane settlement packages for employees that lose their jobs. Some guys from Ford who were losing their job were going out and buying new vehicles with their settlement money. Great for the employee for a while, until they lose their job. Then it's back to $13 an hour jobs stacking shelves at the local hardware store for all the poor saps with their grade 12. And those high paying jobs never come back to the area. |
i like poo
i miss currently sober too R.I.P |

I have worked in a dangerous factory and only unions stop the deaths and loss of limbs in that shit. You haven't been there so you don't know. For you it's all about limits on income and mandatory raises. It's a childish republican spin on what unions are. You should read the book titled "The Jungle". It's has lots of facts about the US labor market before unions! :2 cents: Short cut to reading the book : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Jungle Quote:

Blackmonsters: I am not saying unions do not have their place. I am simply saying that they do not have a place for me. I found unions in general to limit my potential. Thus, I have purposely chosen not to be employed by one since the 80's.
In hindsight, it was the right decision for me, as there's no way I would have been in the position I am today had I opted to just stick with a union job as my career choice (and that's even if they had not already sent the job overseas by the time I retired, leaving me wondering about a pension/retirement plan). |
