benthompson 02-15-2003 07:39 PM

probably the photographer is a beginner as the photo looks so amateurish..

Jey p 02-15-2003 07:47 PM

yup sorry for the error.

You can copy + paste the url into your borwser and see it now.

I want to know if you can create this effect using a filter...

Mutt 02-15-2003 07:52 PM

what effect are you talking about? it's a glamour photo, i don't see what special 'effect' you are talking about. Looks a bit dark and they've turned up the contrast on it.

Dax 02-15-2003 07:55 PM

That is all photoshop work.. the smoothing of the skin .. the rest is mainly playing with contrast...

pine 02-15-2003 08:07 PM

Photoshop -> Filters -> Blur -> Smart Blur

Scott McD 02-15-2003 08:08 PM

I fucked her...

gothweb 02-15-2003 08:12 PM

Most of what you see in that photo is a hell of a lot more about lighting than anything else. Some after-effects, I would guess, but you couldn't make a flatly lit photo look like that with Photoshop.

Minte 02-15-2003 08:13 PM

Thats out of a Playboy NSS shoot..

Minte 02-15-2003 08:38 PM

Down in the lower righthand corner you see that SCP..that is a group of scanners that are some of the very best at editing. They hang on Dalnet...#scp.

Nothing I know of. A digital photo contains a limited amount of information. You can't force a flat photo to look better, unless you pretty much paint over it by hand, at photo quality.

To get a good photo, you have to take a good photo. You can improve a hell of a lot with photoshop, or other filters, but it has to be based on something.

My guess is, that photo was taken well... Or, to be less evaluative, was taken to look like it does. The lighting, the camera settings, the lens, etc.

Ludedude 02-15-2003 09:13 PM

It's overexposed and the pushing of the contrast in post processing can't hide that.

The blur is no big deal. That can either be done in photpshop or more properly by shooting for a shallow depth of field. In order to keep the skin tone soft and even it's just a matter of how you apply the unsharpen mask.

In the early days a lot of guys would post scans with this interesting style. Its Photoshop adjusted.
