Bryan, TX - June 13 2012 - BetterCGI.com announced Wednesday that it will be releasing the new 5.0 version of the popular Strongbox web site security software, along with a new pricing model. The company has announced that webmasters can get the new version at the old lower price by pre-ordering prior to the July 1st launch. The Strongbox system defends web businesses from brute force attacks, stolen or shared passwords, and other threats. Ray Morris, CEO of BetterCGI, explained: "Strongbox 5.0 has a lot of new features to enhance security, and convenience while complementing your site’s appearance. For example the new FaceTuring, a revolutionary new approach that avoids the frustration of CAPTCHAS.” Rather than force users to decipher distorted difficult to read text, FaceTuring has the user simply do what humans have done instinctively for millions of years - spot a pretty face. Users simply click on the correct faces, which is ideal for touch screen interactions. Once a user has logged in successfully once, they can be exempt from any future human test at all, a true “one click” log in, Morris said. In order to support the continual development and improvement, the pricing model had to be updated, said Morris. “To give webmasters great value, we’ve set aside this two week pre-order period so that webmasters can protect their web sites with the latest technology while still taking advantage of historically low pricing. Orders after that date will be at the new price of $189 setup and $99 per year.” "With the upcoming upgrade to Version 5, exclusive features like secure cross-site linking and FaceTuring will only enhance the sense of security that comes with securing your login, and protecting yourself against brute force attacks, site rippers with stolen passwords, and other issues that slow your site down and cost you money." Morris repeated that “to take advantage of all of this new technology at the low prices webmasters are used to, they must pre-order by the July 1st launch date by visiting http://bettercgi.com/sb5/ .” RMEE Inc is a well known web security company headquartered in Bryan, TX. Since 1997 RMEE has protected many of the most well known sites with their Strongbox, Throttlebox, and Clonebox products. |
How many pics of faces do you have in the database? isn't that obviously a finite number? and so it actually makes it MUCH easier to crack than infinite number of combinations that can be generated using random letters, their positions, angles, etc?

de-captcher.info , and everything is always bottable
|
some ppl are just too dumb to know which are female/male
i think text is still easier |
:thumbsup:thumbsup
|
Can webmasters use their own pictures and categories? Like "spot the negro" on IR sites or "click the dick" on gay sites.
|
I'd rather clicks pics than decode a text.

Looks interesting. What's the pre-order upgrade price?
I can't see it on the order form unless I missed it!? |
Hmm, not sure about that. Easier, but still a pain to deal with. Why don't you let them try to login without any captcha or face recognition or whatever and only if they fail to login for X amount of times, pop up the human tests?
Perhaps you added this already, no clue, last StrongBox we worked with didn't have it, but it was an older version. You're the expert in this field and i might have failed to take all aspects into consideration, so i'm sure you have a reason if you're not doing it that way, if so, do enlighten me. |
Wasn't meant to be offensive. You could use it on an IR cuckolding site and make it "spot the cuck" or "spot the Bull".

Oh shit another tranny test!

It was written in the PR as well, my bad, haven't read that entirely.
|
Cool, chat roulette have been using that for ages. Nice to see another use for it.

The faces are randomly rotated and cropped, so just as one letter can be many images, so too can one face. There are just a LOT more faces to choose from than there are letters. |
Great Idea - Will check it out.

And I have never seen a captcha displaying just 1 letter, normally is it letters and words making it (26 + 10) 36 per char, so a 5 char long captcha is 36^5 ;) Congrats on the launch though, it is looking great ! |

FaceTuring doesn't have just one face, just as a captcha doesn't have one letter, so that's the same either way and you're left with the fact that there are a lot more faces than there are letters. |

Ah, so you have ſ and arguably IJ. Without Æ, how do you type Æneas Mackay, former prime minister of your country? |

Let's hope it stays that way :1orglaugh |
I like the idea, could be fine tuned.

what is a captcha ?
(i know the answer, but not the strongbox team) |
I'm French. What the fuck am I supposed to click?
Everyone knows what to do with a captcha. You're going to translate the command into every language your user-base uses. |
