Celebrity Phone Hacking???

Okay so I see the news this morning, some celeb chick I've never heard of is the "latest phone hacking victim." lol

Can any of you nerds answer this question? People really can have their phones "hacked?" Or is this just some bullshit celebrity drama where they leak fake cell phone pics to get their names in the media???

cell phone hack?? :1orglaugh

I call shenanigans!

Ofc they can, especially now day's with smartphones and everyone having internet in them. That doesn't mean It happened though. When It's celebs involved they usually have a finger in It them selves.

I doubt Murdoch would be paying out millions of pounds to the people his company phone hacked if it wasn't true.

I think they use the word "hack" way too much in the media.

Most of these celebs are low level and need to get their name out. So funny how mainstream and porn worlds have crossed to much now.

Yes, it's called Bluetooth snipering:-

This is why certain large cellphone manufacturers lock down on Bluetooth connectivity.

For me, the term 'hack' used to counjour up images of someone physically cutting cables
and listening in on headphones lol Guess I'm giving away my age...

xenigo 03-11-2012 01:53 AM

Yes, this has been my belief for years. Paris Hilton having her phone "hacked" was the largest steaming pile of BS I'd heard in ages.

"Phone hacking" promo is the new "sex tape" promo.

Oh, the other thing that annoys the shit out of me with mainstream media; Listen to how often you hear about someone "tweeting" something to someone else. It seems as if the term "tweeted" has replaced the word "texted" or "emailed". You know damn well very little super sensitive communication ever gets publicly posted to Twitter, but it's the new catch phrase... so now you hear it on every god damn drama, sitcom, or action production on television. "Doctor, Tweet that information to me stat! This patient is code-red!"

:)

I'm sure a lot of it is real, but I'm also sure some of it is faked. In some cases the hacking just happens to occur right as they are getting ready to promote a project. That always seems fishy.

phone hacking = entering default pin to listen to voicemail

sounds much better to bash NI with that instead of saying they were listening to voicemail

RaiderX 03-11-2012 09:49 AM

Fake -_-

Publicity Whores :/

scouser 03-11-2012 09:53 AM

i think a lot of it isn't so much hacking but just getting through to their voicemail and entering their pin & listening to voicemails.

martinsc 03-11-2012 10:37 AM

some is real and some is made up for publicity.... :2 cents::2 cents:

MaDalton 03-11-2012 10:40 AM

Paris Hilton would like to disagree, that was an epic night on GFY :)

DBS.US 03-11-2012 10:56 AM

Some real some fake.

InfoGuy 03-11-2012 05:56 PM

This is nothing more than talentless hacks with phony phone hacking claims.
