Got My Tickets for Leon Russell (Happy Dance)
 

I realize some of you younger pups won't have a clue who Leon Russell is, but way, w-a-y back in the night (even before way, w-a-y back in the day), he was a big rock star, and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame just this year.

Older fans of Leon may be unaware that he is out touring again after enduring brain surgery.

Let's start with a few old gems. I first saw Leon Russell perform back in the early 70's:



For many, Leon Russell is best known for his association with the legendary blues singer Joe Cocker:

He was in my home town about a month or so ago, put on a great show. Elton John is coming this weekend as well:thumbsup

Saw him 10 years ago at a little theatre in downtown Lexington, Ky. Was a good show.

No shit, I saw Leon Russell the first time in bluegrass fucking Lexington, Kentucky, back in the early 70's (I spent a rebellious year at Tates Creek High School due to my Dad's work)... :1orglaugh
