I've read several stories about people getting fired after bashing their bosses or the companies they work for on facebook/myspace/twitter.

They don't really do a deep check.

They just check to see if a potential employee is actually stupid enough to
use either one.

I remember seeing a story a while back about a woman who was interviewing to be a teacher. The school checked her facebook account and there were pictures of her drunk as hell flashing people and laying on the bathroom floor in her bra and panties puking her guts up.

Needless to say she didn't get the job :)

Setting up bogus profiles sounds like a fun way to take out the competition and get someone else at work fired.

My facebook has been and always will be private...they can search all they want...All they'll get is a conservative profile pic...The explicit stuff and naked pics of me can only be found inside :)

Well...THEORETICALLY, since GFY is supposed to be an industry board...everyone here works in the adult industry already and could care less about what people read on Twitter.
