Is section 8 housing program for blacks only ?
 

I don't see any crackers in line or illegal Mexicans? I thought illegals would be all over this program, after all its them who abuse welfare program.

In Miami it seems that every person that comes from South America gets into Section 8, gets food stamps, welfare, new car courtesy of the government.

some of them will grow from the help. David Hasselhof grew up in the projects just outside Flint, Michigan. Patrick Swayze lived in low income housing. Eminem grew up in low income housing as well.

Heheh.. go through those lines in ANY city and start getting stats on how many in the family work. How many kids. How many cars. What size TV they have. all that sort of info.

Half of them have as nice of a car, as nice of clothing, as big of a TV along with digital Cable etc, ( as you do ) and several often from 2 to 5 kids. Do they really NEED section 8?? No but it allows them to have other things so the older people in the family claim the housing and then the older children, usually in the late teens and early 20's make the cash or they get " The Check "

I know people with section 8 housing assistance. At one point they were a regular middle class family then health problems with one of the kids ran up bills not covered by insurance. So, in order to qualify for public health care they had to stop working.

That's right working took them out of the eligibility for health care. So my friend quit working. (on the books anyway) Now they have section 8 vouchers for housing, food stamps, free cell phone, welfare money, free school meals, etc, and the health care is now free.

How do you qualify for food stamps? Every time I see those people they are 300lbs and look very well fed? How much do they get per month?

He gets around $600. a month, family of 4. The term food stamp is out dated, he has a card with the money loaded on it so paying looks just like he using a debit card. Some types of food are ineligible but $600 goes a long way.

A lot of people are applying for Sec 8, its a sign of the times. The waiting list here in San Diego is 500k, according to the news. It's sad, but the economy is killing the middle class and lower. Decent paying jobs that lower class people could do are dying every year. You can't go to school to get a better job because the state government is raising tuition while the federal government cuts student aid. You can't get a job, because if the government sees you making a dime then they'll cut any aid they give you even if the job you have doesn't cover anything but the rent.

It's a sad state. We need to start creating jobs that the middle class can get that pay a decent wage.

I don't know but I sure don't see any white people in line. I see a bunch of blacks in clean shirts and shiny new tennis shoes. They hardly look poor.

There is definitely people out there abusing the system, but the system is so fucked right now, even if 'getting a job' were as easy as you make it sound, most shitty jobs don't cover cost of living. I live about 20 miles outside a major city, and even up here it is expensive to live.

Minimum wage jobs far from cut it unless you're living alone in a shitty roach filled apartment in the ghetto up here basically starving yourself and staring at a wall all night with no car, tv, internet or anything else.
