A lot of people are applying for Sec 8, its a sign of the times. The waiting list here in San Diego is 500k, according to the news. It's sad, but the economy is killing the middle class and lower. Decent paying jobs that lower class people could do are dying every year. You can't go to school to get a better job because the state government is raising tuition while the federal government cuts student aid. You can't get a job, because if the government sees you making a dime then they'll cut any aid they give you even if the job you have doesn't cover anything but the rent.
It's a sad state. We need to start creating jobs that the middle class can get that pay a decent wage.

Check capitalism... its why the "hidden hand" that really runs the show is willing to allow august 2 to come and go without raising ceiling cap...dont need a middle class, don't want a middle class, trying their best to wipe out the middle class to create a world filled with "have nearly all" and "have nearly nothing" classes...
