I like Pokerstars. Easy and real fast.

JC Maldini 01-05-2011 07:45 AM

Pokerstars is the best by far.

Nicky 01-05-2011 08:31 AM

+1 here for pokerstars

If you learned how to play on FB, I would recommend that you only play the penny blinds. FB poker will ruin you.

No. Poker isn't poker.

Poker is who you play against. It's not so much your cards or even you. If you can't figure out and handle your opponent, you're not going to do very well. Playing for free money is nothing like playing for real money.

Unless you want to lose a lot of your money really fast, play really low stakes until you get a handle on it. Then slowly move up on your stakes.

Free poker is not poker.

Whether or not pokerstars is the best, they have by far the most games available.

You play limit, no limit, full ring, short handed or heads up? Tournements or cash?

roganoli 01-05-2011 08:49 AM

Fulltilt is the best!

djroof 01-05-2011 08:55 AM

I wouldn't us FB poker as an indicator of how well you think you can play. There's a huge difference in most people's decision making between free play and real money play. Having said that, it won't hurt to try some real money play if you just play the micro blinds as Sly suggested.

Party Poker is my favorite.
Make sure to use pokertracker :)

yes i understand, i went from nothing to $2million on facebook but now i'm playing for real $, hands i would have played i don't always now. facebook has given me a good understanding of the rules etc if nothing else. i'm playing the $0.5/$0.10 blind tables currently and taking it steady.

Rush poker on Fulltilt is cool, but way to many lucky amateurs. Pokerstars is a better quality of players.

Facebook poker is a joke, people play every hand they have and call bets no matter what, may as well play bingo.

I've been playing on UB. I like it.

seeandsee 01-05-2011 01:05 PM

Pokerstars, bluffroom, fultitl, titanpoker and partypoker

$0.05/$0.10 is usually pretty decent, $0.01/0.02 can get pretty rough. One table will be like a free table, the next table will be like normal poker. I usually play $0.25/$0.50 or $0.50/$1.00... I'm no Tom Dwan!

Gasper 01-06-2011 07:17 AM

dude, you don't have the slightest idea how to play real poker.

listen to the guys here telling you to start playing for pennies or you'll loose a lot of money

djroof 01-06-2011 07:33 AM

Poker View ;)

i've also played a few small $5 and $10 tournaments and i'm doing quite good. i've learnt to control myself and only play decent hands and also not chase too many runs and flushes, also learning when to fold. you are right though its a totally different game playing for real money, i'm much more cautious.

djroof 01-06-2011 07:39 AM

but its better going to a casino ;) real chips, real cash ;0
