Can google see the inside of linkspun?
Serious question. They spiders are sophisticated. And they can crawl most members areas.
well? any theories?
"they can crawl most member areas" - where did you hear this?

I was wondering that too. I started a new site a week before the google update.. and it was going great.,.. added my new url to linkspun as hidden... then next day update...and traffic stopped... only getting type ins from india...
It would certainly explain a lot...
I don't use LinkSpun but maybe LinkSpun like many forums allow SE's to crawl their member restricted areas.
google punishes CHEATERS...bottom line
Linkspun only has its main page indexed in Google.

It makes me wonder though, if the dont crawl them, would they be above having their staff join to gather info? Or even hacking to see? Im not accusing linkspun and its really awesome, but google making me paranoid
I've been able to use it to bump my SERPS up. You just have to research who you trade with. Stay away from foreign, irrelevant, and low quality links.
I also tend not to trade with people who only want one link to their "money site" in exchange for links from sites they will never develop again. |
I think it's the nature of the links that's the problem, not the source of them. Google knows they're not organic links.
jdough told me that he built linkspun so we wouldn't get penalized for trading. Not that he explained how he could keep google out. But that they did keep that in mind. not sure what they know that we dont. and he has been gone a while so who knows now. I'm not sure there is a way to outfox google.

Still, they could get an idea of which sites make up your network...and also see the fact that these domains are on a link trading site. Would be stupid to punish people just for being on LinkSpun though, as anyone could add your sites on there including a competitor. Then again, Google has already admitted that they will punish you for things completely out of your control which any competitor may do: https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1066383 |
I dont think it really matters as long as the site is no penalized by google. Just check some big names on linkspun and you will see they try to exchange links with everyone, some of the bigest porn sites out there use linkspun (or hire people that use linkspun for linkexchange). The more the better, preferable with sites that are still developed (maintained)...
Google cannot see inside Linkspun as they do not run their bots with logged in user accounts... As a user you can only see your own trades... So don't trade with Google ;)
FBI and CIA also have a problem with Google crawling their data
I don't know, but I'm a paranoid dude. Haven't had a bad experience with linkspun and my serps, but I have discontinued accepting new link trades there. I'm just very observant, notice patterns and take precautions. Old trades stay, but I didn't have much anyway.

why would anyone think they couldn't . just look at the shit oil blob of filth festering around certain areas on the interwebs :1orglaugh
no, not physically get into your site but, most certainly they've always known what linkspun and other sites have been about ... maybe they have some time of "bread crumb following" type of device. who knows
I laser target my trades on LinkSpun. I only need one or two good ones pointing back.
Google sees all.
