I wonder if Obama can hear everyone now?
56 seats in the house, 6 in the senate
No more Pelosi as house speaker Harry Reid almost lost to a crazy person Votes are still close in California Barry didn't get the hint when Brown won, I wonder if he heard this? |
Heard what, the election cycle repeating itself as usual?
The cheers from millions of self hating morons? What is he supposed to hear exactly? |
He's under the desk crying in a fetal position. You've really scared the shit out of him this time!
|
Hear what? The democrats holding the senate, and the republicans holding the house?
|
biggest gop win in over 50 years or biggest democrat loss in same
|
The biggest party turnover in more than 70 years, isn't it?
|
meh, same shit happened a decade ago - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republican_Revolution

got a bunch of new governors too I was listening at ABC news and one of the commentators said it was because of the Tea Party, without them, the GOP was dead in the water. They even gave a lot of credit to Sarah Palin. |
Could've done even better in the Senate if not for Christine O'Donnell.

I think Obama got just what he wanted. We will now likely have 2 years of nothing but fighting and gridlock. The democrat run senate will not be in any mood to help the republicans out after they just put up with two years of them saying no to and filibustering anything and everything the democrats wanted to do. And vice versa. If the republicans weren't willing to work with the democrats when they were the minority they sure as hell won't when they are the majority.
They will fight with each other and if we are lucky a few small things will pass. Obama can then move to the middle and tell tell those on the left that the republicans winning the house forced him to do it just to get basic business done. He then sits and waits. If the economy picks up and rights itself over the next two years he will claim a victory and say that his stimulus and jobs bill worked after all and it will make him hard to beat in a re-election. Of course if the economy still sucks he will be very vulnerable, but right now there is not a real strong republican candidate on the horizon. Let's not forget that a good number of these republicans are tea party people who have vowed to vote against things that increase the deficit so the republicans may find it difficult to get votes even in their own party. Obama got what he wanted, potential chaos in the house and senate which will help take the eyes off of him for a little while. |
Hahaha....FOX News and you teabaggers are touting this as a huge republican victory, compared to what was being predicted and the fact this is normal in every midterm election this is a democratic victory. More delusion from the whacks.

I didn't add in the senate because we're discussing the house, i can do the senate too though - easy to grab the numbers real quick. It's going to look exactly the same though. Democrats do good sometimes, republicans do good sometimes. |

Also, Obama got a lot of people off their ass that voted straight D. Unless there is some major fuckup before 2012 that will most likely happen again. Oh, and while we're on politics. The entire country has been trending D for a long time now. Enjoy these victories while you can, the youngsters are getting older every day and they are much MUCH more liberal than their parents and grandparents. Then of course there's the old racist Republicans that are dying daily. |

It would have been horribly sad if the Republicans would not have achieved what they just did, considering the circumstances... it's expected, who cares if its a win or not...
The most important thing now are the next 2 years, the only way Republicans can win 2012 is by showing in the next 2 years that they can do it better, which I do not think they can, so its just a preparation to fail.... The next 2 years for sure will be interesting... And btw, vendzilla amd cykoe6, calling people "idiots" just shows lack of arguments... its not really intelligent to say in such a debate... |
So we replace one set of ass hats with another set of ass hats.
Everyone thinks they just made a difference. Business as usual. |
Vendzilla get a fucking grip - we all knew that the house would go to you dumb fuck racist Republicunts..... This is standard in a down economy - but the Dems keeping the Senate is a HUGE MANDATE that this nation DOES NOT want you pigs running the pig sty...

If the Repubs could they wouldn't repeal all of Obamacare. Large amounts were written by lobbyists, they'll keep the industry sweeteners in, probably even the thing people are most pissed about, the mandate. Same thing with financial reform. So stupid to cop political flak for being a "socialist" and not actually implement legislation "socialist" enough for the left wing of your base. If people think Obamacare is going to kill grandma with death panels and you're not going to get any republican support, at least get progressive votes out of it. Never saw the point of pissing off everyone but hey, I'm not Rahm. Anyways the Dems deserved the raping they got today. Useless on pretty much all fronts. |
No matter who anybody votes for, nothing is going to change. You realize that, right? The only thing that changes is who the media aims their vitriol at.
You might as well elect some random guy named Bob from North Dakota as "God Over All He Surveys." No matter whether its a Democrat or a Republican - or my random buddy Bob - the only thing that is going to change is the name of the person that Fox News, Comedy Central, or CNN picks on. It does not matter who is elected. Baddog's Buddy is probably more qualified to run for office. And he would probably do a better job. Things will not get any better no matter who is in control. Sorry - that's pretty much an historical fact. There has not been a single politician that has made anyone's life any better in the 47 years I've been alive. As a Canadian, maybe Clinton made my life better. Clinton did more for Canada than any Canadian leader ever did in the last 40 years. That's a horrible thing to say, but I stand by that statement. Bill Clinton was Canada's greatest leader in the last 40 years. If he was eligible, he'd be elected Prime Minister today. I liked what he did for the exchange rate. America dominated the world's economy back then, and I got $1.54 for every dollar I earned. Not so much now. The American dollar is going to end up being pocket change soon enough. Under Bush the US dollar was worth 90 cents. Now? About par. This is the non-partisan opinion of someone who does not live in your country, but cares about it a great deal. More than you will believe. Canadian television is dominated by U.S. media, and it breaks my heart to see you guys fight against each other all the time. Often for no reason. You support Glen Beck, or John Stewart. The opinions of these two men should be worth no more than the opinion of your cat. Fight, fight, fight. That's all I ever hear on the news. You hate each other. Quote:
I re-read the Pledge Of Allegiance tonight, and my eyes are full of tears. A pure document, beyond reproach. The one single goal that every nation and independant person on this planet should fight for is documented in the history of the United States of America. I do not know how to express my opinion without rambling aimlessly. I'm doing that right now. Forgive me. America is the single greatest country in human history. I am honoured to call Amercans my friends and neighbours. And family. It breaks my heart to watch you fight with each other. It does. It cripples me. I'm a confused mess, my friends. God Bless America. Long Live The Queen. Fuck the media. I love you all. |
His press conference will be interesting.

dems didn't fix things fast enough, elect the other guy. ok, well the same thing is going to happen in 2012 for the dems since the republican congress won't be able to fix anything either. americans don't know what they want or who will get them out of the mess they are in.
