You're right, it will. In 2012 I'm guessing it will balance out pretty close. Everyone will hate everyone again. Wee!

Parliamentary democracy is an spectacle, get over it...

TheDoc 11-03-2010 06:00 AM

You guys are odd... most of the seats were a dead shoe in for the Republicans, they could have won if they slept through the race. They only had to win a few extra places to take a jump like this.

And the fact that the crazy bitch from NV almost made it and Rand Paul did make it, proves how flippin crazy and stupid some Americans truly are.

Bill Clinton was Canada's greatest leader in the last 40 years. If he was eligible, he'd be elected Prime Minister today.

I liked what he did for the exchange rate. America dominated the world's economy back then, and I got $1.54 for every dollar I earned. Not so much now. The American dollar is going to end up being pocket change soon enough. Under Bush the US dollar was worth 90 cents. Now? About par.

It was Clinton who started the unhealthy investment policy, wasn't it?

Are you talking about the one that opened the free market up to Companies being able to merge?

Or the Community Reinvestment Act?

Know what the odd thing about the Community Reinvestment Act was? Credit Unions got the same benefits, did the same loans..... but never had the same problems. That's because the the CU's weren't doing shady shit.

I don't know so much about the details in US policy, but I learned that it was Clintons policy that originally made people investing more than they could pay back. On short it benefits the economy (and Clinton) but not sustainable.

Did I say anything about disagreeing with me? Disagree if you like, but at least backup your disagreement with information that shows her ideas aren't extreme.

People voting for her, proves far less about 'something' else, and shows greatly how stupid people are when it comes understanding what her whacked out ideas could have done, damage wise to our Country and Nevada.

I would love to hear the educated reasoning behind voting against one person that may not be doing the best job and for another person with extremely different views that do not match the people she is attempting to represent.

So unless Nv is the craziest ass group of people, ever... they almost voted a person in that totally doesn't Represent the real view points of the people.

That... is stupidity at its finest.

I don't disagree that she is out there. Would I have voted for her? No. If she was elected would she have any real power? No. She would have been sitting on the sidelines and would be done in six years.

So... I guess you can vote for this woman because you can't stand Reid or you can vote for Reid because you can't stand this woman. They are one in the same. But you say that people should continue voting for a person that they can't stand, just because the alternate is something they don't know and probably more "extreme?"

People constantly talk about voting for the lesser of two evils. Some people think she is a lesser of those two evils. People thought the same thing in 2004 when they voted for Kerry (who lost) and many thought the same in 2008 when Obama won. Those are all crazy stupid people, too?

I really don't get it. In 2008 everyone was on board with Hope, Change, and drastic changes. Now a few Tea Party folk make a run, that will most likely never turn into anything substantial at all, and "oh my God, idiots everywhere!"

People are pissed off. Still. If you don't like your politician, you vote them out. That's how it works. A lot of times the alternate really sucks. You piss your people off enough, regardless of how terrible the alternate is, you get booted. Mike Castle learned that the hard way, Reid made it through... now you have to wonder if he will make changes or stay the same. My guess is stay the same and retire in six years. Not a bad option for him. Shitty for the people.

Oh, and while we're on politics. The entire country has been trending D for a long time now. What the general public doesn't understand is that this is going to take a long time to get better, maybe a decade. Umm.... the Tea Party movement in this election was a complete fail at everything other than yelling.

They kept the Republicans from taking a good bit more of the right power. The Tea Party won in the places that it was without question expected as the opposition had totally dropped the ball, outside of some local areas - it was a huge bust for the Tea Party.

If you're standing behind the TP now, you're getting laughed at.

People should be voting based on the politician that can represent those people, the closest. That's what this election is about....

She is far right of even the Conservative base, yet drew Dem/lib votes and Rep - yet Her views don't align with any of them. And you're right - it would be 6 years of nothing, vs... 6 years of influence. It's even more crazy.

2008, Obama, even Kerry - represent a major group of people. Those people voting that way, supported what was said - supported - what - he - said. With Reid vs. Angle, people don't agree with Angle - but they voted for her anyway.

That's just crazy....
