All of the below is my dealings with MultiSexSite, who posts here and with his site superbooster.com.

Heres the deal... I rarely ever do contract work for people, its just not my style.. I do things for people when I need a little extra cash.

So my admin hits me up on icq, he had seen someone asking for a project done in php/mysql, it was a fairly easy project, just a little time consuming. It was actually an affiliate program and sales tracker for his cell phone booster site. So i message the guy, he gets back to me with the full details of the script... and I agree.

Then we start talking about how much money I would get paid. Someone else had quoted him at I believe like 500, so i said 400. I talk to the guy on the phone, he starts trying to wheel and deal me, he said he is really low on money, this and that and he would give me 10% of whatever the business makes if i do the script free. I tell him $200 and 5%, I met him half way. He says fine.

I get most of the script done, he mails me the 200, and I finish the script, he even agreed that it worked, I made sure, tested it with different scenarios. There was one problem with it, but I pretty much made assure it was OK.

Mind you this is all a couple months ago. So I hit the guy up on ICQ he says he is making no sales, cant find anyone to promote it. This went on for a few weeks. So like last week I ICQ the guy, he says he isnt using my script anymore, and he pretty much assumes that I am not entitled to any more money... I am not to sure if I agree with that, sure I took a risk on that 5% but what the fuck?

My way of thinking he either owes me 200 or the 5% that we agreed on.

So basically I am calling you out.

um..........i agree with you that you are owed 5%. But if 5% of nothing is nothing, that's what you are owed. You should have sized up if he was capable of making any money.

Did you get any of this in writing?

I see that guy posting his stats to the program, he is making sales with it. Get the fucker..

he is making money now... just not with my script, but either way your logic is just borked. I didnt do the script for my health, I did it thinking he would pay

in fact i think he was offering $200 for december or something as a prize..lemme look

Ok, I didnt want to make this public, but you did. The script you wrote me was a complete PIECE OF SHIT! It did not have the features I asked for, it look like a 2 year old wrote the script. In order for me to pay affiliates, I would have had to email every single one of them and ASK them for their password to be able to login and see their stats.

You are lucky I didnt ask for my fucking $200 back for that worthless script.

You can bitch and moan all you want, but you wrote me a worthless piece of code that was NOT what I asked for. I didnt promise you 5% of my business, I promised you 5% of what the script earned me. Which in this case was $0 because it FUCKING SUCKED.


If anyone owes anyone something, you owe me $200. Stop having your little friend pr0 post in your favor.

BTW I never agreed that the script worked. To this day it has NOT been completed.

You never checked it out and it was never finished. Your next messages to me were asking about sales. HOW THE FUCK CAN I HAVE SALES WHEN YOUR SCRIPT DOESNT FUCKING DO ANYTHING?

There were many other features that I requested that were not included. In the admin area, all I could do was change a webmasters payment info. I could not see their stats at all. I would have to login to each affiliate's stats with their username and their password to be able to see who sent me sales. With 50 affiliates this would take hours.

I dont owe you a fucking dime and I never will.

Fuck this, now that you've brought this up and hurt my reputation, I want my $200 back. Send it to the address that was on the payment.

I do with the people I've done business with. If I thought I owed him 5% or $200 I'd pay it. I have paid out thousands to people on this board.

like a real judge would say, was any of this in writing and signed by both parties? if not you are screwed..... anything involving money or business deals should be written & signed with a contract..

it's quite clear:

If the scripts wasnt doing what it was supposed to do
you had to work that out with Alky right away
or request a refund.

Now it's just you owing 5% to Alky although paying
the $200 sounds more reasonable and real for now.

To be honest Multisex, what did you expect? No coder worth his salt would do a custom script for so little....especially an affilliate program...more likely he provided you with a copy of an old affiliate program he wrote hacked up to be usable on your site....

As a fellow coder though I can understand how hard it can be to code something that meets someone else's needs...however if the script overall was completely unusable for you, then either he should be willing to refund the money or offer to correct the script to a point it is functional the way you want it to.

Really it's all dependant on what you requested of him. Whenever I do contract work I always specify point by point exactly what I'll be doing and the cost for providing said features, should that change then the cost changes as well. That way both myself and the client are on the same page. How exact were you in specifying your needs to the programmer? Is it possible he feels that he filled his end of the deal whereas you feel he didn't? /shrug....

NOTE: I did say that I would give him 5% of what the script earned. NOT 5% of everything. Therefore even by your thinking I dont owe him anything.

And BTW, 5% so far is way less than $200.

If you want some good programming done, let me recommend Maxcom. He has done a fair bit for me and its top notch.

I disagree with you, Apollo. I think it is market forces that allow anyone to quote what they want. Look, I am a computer science guy and hard coder as hard as you get; I love coding with a passion, but I did learn one thing, I can NEVER EVER BEAT those poorer countries programmers would will always undercut mine. Right now, I have hired about 3 developers for less money then what they would otherwise cost. I have 3 developers on my payroll costing me only 600 per month; so I don't see why it is that hard to get a script done for only 500 bucks, don't you think so Apollo?

I do NOT concur with you toodamfli, because I believe if you contract to do some work and you don't deliver then you shouldn't be paid until it is done correctly. Look, I am not sure if you have done any contract work with other guys over the net. I have done a lot with guys over the net and to be honest, I am DAMN SORRY AFTERWARDS about the quality of work they provide. I mean look here, I had a few system admins work on my servers and to be damn honest ALL OF THEM FUCKED UP; but as I had already paid, there was nothing I could do about it. Right now I personally will NOT pay a single cent until they do a good job; my standard is high and I expect people to come up to it; but lets face it guys, a lot of guys out there are out to take you for a ride and I have learned my lesson, cash remains with me until you provide the service and a good one first.

I didnt be an ass and start bitching about my $200 when I realized it was a lost cause getting this script. I wrote it off as a cost of doing business and left it at that. I realize some things dont work out as planned. I did nothing wrong here.
