No matter what youe politics are, I think this guy steped over the line in disrespecting the office of president of the United States.

Even if you hate Obama and wish the worst things possible on him, I feel this guy was out of line.

So he should not be allowed to say what he wants under the 1st Amendment?

He should be publically censured IMHO. But what should happen is happening, his seat has gone from basically a lock, to being "in play", with half a million dollars in donations (so far) being raked in by his competitor in his upcoming election.

Politicians lie like they breath... Isn't strange how people get outraged and scream scandal because someone called another a liar but whenever a politician/president lie to the population, it is swept under the rug as no big deal, politic as usual...?

People need to get a grip. Calling the President a liar, even if it is in the middle of a speech is not a "stepdown-able" offense. It's rude, it deserves some bad press, but good lord people need to get thicker skin and move the fuck on.

And the election will take care of the rest, if his people want him he'll stay, if not he'll go. That part is no skin off anyones nose.

but for ppl to all get bent out of shape because harsh words were spoken by the president..guess what?...you need those harsh words when ppl liar & cheat not because they dont believe in what you are saying, but because they are being loyal to party lines...i call bullshit on both parties for the tit for tat politics that they are spewing...neither party is going to actually help the american people first..they are more interested in what lines their pockets (oil, drug, medical, car companies)...no matter what anyone says, the Dems HAVE tried to work with Republicans...but so many Republicans are against anything a Dem has to offer...they hide behind their party lines and fight every inch just because they cant admit they fucked up the country for the last eight years and god forbid they actually might like what the other party might have to say...demolish BOTH parties and have none...make a politician like a manager WE THE PEOPLE hire and if they fuck up...we should be able to fire his ass...no impeachments, no drawn out bullshit...if any of you had an affiliate manager, content manager, office manager etc that did this kind of shit, youd can his/her ass...our problem is we are afraid of our govt, not the other way around...govt rules our lives and keeps us on a chain for their benefit....

Should he step down because he blurted out a dumb commit.. I don't think so.. Should he not be vote into office again, because the only real reason he made the dumb commit, was because he most of his campaign funding from big business medical industry.. Well yes.

While it's out of place, heckling has always gone on and it was way worse back in the days of our founders. I don't think they would think it was too big of a deal. However I'm pretty damn sure they would be spinning in their graves knowing how much special interest/big business controls our current day politics.
