Chemo sucks big time.
Just back from the hospital and 6 days of intense chemotherapy. And it was tough. Started Tuesday and it was fine through to Friday, then it started to take effect. No energy, appetite and vomiting. Now I have to build my strength and weight, lost 4 kilos, to go back in 3 weeks for another session.
My advice to everyone here is kick smoking, cut down drinking and take more exercise. You don't want this. |
Ouch. all the best to you, Paul...... you will be in my thoughts. I've had a few family members go thru this and it isn't pleasant at all. Good luck to you hon.
I have started my trek towards not smoking anymore now, so with any luck, I won't be smoking by this time next month. And I never have been a drinker and thanks to Diabetes, I get more excercise now. :thumbsup |
My best goes to you Paul I hope and pray for your swift recovery.
|
that sucks man...i smoke daily and dont exercise...either im gonna see you in the chemo hallway soon or i need to start exercising... :(
|
Best wishes Paul :)
|
Hope all goes well with your treatments and to a swift recovery.
|
that sucks, I hope you get well soon
|
all the best man.
|
I hope you recover quickly.
And thanks for reminding me to quit smoking... In fact, this is as good a time as any to finish my last cigarette. |

loss of appetite is one of the main problems accompanying chemo, as well as, nausea, both of which cannabis is prescribed medically in the United States. we fight for cancer patients with doctors on our side: http://www.safeaccessnow.org good luck, i want to become a caretaker and provide medicine to patients, will be part of my retirement. |
Best wishes Paul.

best wishes paul...and yeah...force feed yourself...eating is strength
stay strong |
I wish you the best Paul. I really do. I'm so sorry to hear what's happening to you. Right now I have a 28 year old cousin who has throat cancer...he only has a 20% chance of survival and is undergoing intensive chemo. He does nothing but sleep and vomit and has lost over 70 pounds. He has a wife and two children and is now on disability because he (obviously) can't work.
I will keep you in my prayers as I do my cousin. Please let us know how you are doing. |
Best wishes and good luck with your treatment. Stay strong!
|
Wishing you the best Paul, stay strong !

Its my main goal in life to help others under these tyrannical time, ive been part of this fight for years and continue to push for international change regarding cannabis laws. Anyone who wants to help us fight, donate today and help make a difference. http://www.safeaccessnow.org As I said, my goal is to become caretaker and provide medicine to sick people, old and young cancer patients, you do not need to be shot up with steroids or anything else to eat, medicinal cannabis works wonders, its free and its natural. When it comes to combating nausea, read testimony from doctors and patients and youll find, compared to injected forms of anti-nausea medication, medicinal marijuana is preferred. Ive read docotrs reports on kids 10-18 suffering with cancer, and they feed them brownies with cannabis and they eat, the drugs they tried before failed! Stand and fight dont just get stoned |
Stay strong!

The thing is that Cancer patients are not the only people who need this medication. My wife has Chrons and it would be far more beneficial than the poison they give her like Prednisone. That shit kills you while rotting your bones and nerous system, yet they give it out like candy. It makes me want to puke. This country is ass backwards. |

My mother in law has been through it twice..once since I have known her. It knocked her amazingly silly but she made it through both times. Hang in there Paul.

Sativex and Marinol are synthetic, expensive, and not as good as organic grown plant, hard to control dose etc...so seek out local growers if you must, but do what it takes to eat and live, cannabis will help you. |
Hang tough Paul, you'll come out on the other side stronger then ever :thumbsup

I've got chron's disease and self medicate. While it would be nice to do this "legally", it's not really a requirement. |
Sorry to hear it Paul. Good luck.
|
Sorry to hear, hopefully it will be over soon. You might want to consider joining the ACOR lists, lots of support and tricks to overcome these treatments.
