DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) -- A statement attributed to :BangBang: al-Qaeda threatened more attacks in New York and Washington unless America stops supporting Israel and converts to Islam, an Arab TV reporter who received the unsigned document said Saturday.

Heavily backing israel so much gives no benefit to the average american. And as time goes on, a lot of us are gonna die because of it.

Various foreign people don't hate us just because we get involved politically and militarily. They hate us because we control a huge portion of the world economy, and in fact world culture. When you get big, you're a big target.

What is so important to the US to "defend and liberate" the Iraqi people ( by putting their own man in charge of Irak) and not to defend the Palestinians who are under siege for the past 25 years?? Even the UN could not go to see a village occupied by Israeli troops.

Israel has the right to live in peace in Israel, not in satellite settlements... Respect the differences in cultures and religions. Diversity is the flavor of the world.

Think about it. There are already something like 3 million muslims in the US already, and every year thousands and thousands of muslim immigrants come to the US. Also, muslim families tend to be larger than your typical white middle class family with 1.2 children. So muslims are probably slowly displacing the typical american. Eventually, they will be so numerous that they will overthrow the US government and install an Islamic dictator called Mohammed Allah Osama. Oh well, by that time Pat Buchanan will be dead, and so will America as you know it. :thumbsup

You'd figure a guy with your nickname would at least be smart enough to realize one of the major reasons why we back Israel. Didn't the Kurtz character go to Southeast Asia to fight for democracy? We back Israel because they are the only democracy in that entire fucked up region of the planet. The average American certainly benefits from the defense of democracy worldwide. Oh, that and the fact that if the Saudi's and Kuwaiti's ever kick us out, we're gonna need a place to stage the attack to get back our oil. Every fat-ass American who drives a gas-guzzling SUV certainly benefits from that :winkwink:

I think the people that benefit are the oil companies. Not that I have a big problem with that. The richer big businesses are, the more jobs that are created, etc.

We have decent relations with some of the countries in that region. And could use our wealth to buy allies if needed.

I was in the city today - I had a wendy's bacon swiss chicken burger for lunch - awesome sandwich. I really recomend it. Very tasty as fast food goes.

stopped at McDicks on the way home (first time in many Months), got a grilled McChicken sandwich- took one bite and I gave it to the dog. He even looked at me funny when I gave it to him. It was HORRIBLE.

I hear ya...McD's has crappy burgers but awesome french fries. I hate the fries at Wendy's. They're too thick and always taste undercooked to me.

Wendy's burgers are much better though...I always have to stop at 2 drive throughs when I do that.
