Even when Obama just turned directly to him and asked the question about backing Bush, McCain refused to look at him when he answered.

He isn't scared. He is doing just fine so far in the debate. Frankly he gives more detailed answers. I just saw him look at Obama.

What details has he given on any answer?

Does it really matter? This forum is mostly Democrat so none of you would give McCain props no matter what. He is a hell of a better speaker then Obama.

I will say that Obama is killing McCain.

History has nothing to do with how Obama speaks. The man can not speak to save his life. He has tripped up so many times and he also looks like he is getting pissed. Quite funny to watch.

Politics is my sport. If somebody does a good job in a debate I will give them credit even if I disagree with everything they say. A good speaker is a good speaker regardless of their political colors. McCain, for whatever other good he may have done in his life, is not a good speaker.

McCain gave detailed answers? You are kidding right? McCant didn't go into details about ANYTHING, except what he's done in the past. Hell, McCain went on for a few minutes about what 'would have happened' in Iraq. Details about speculative opinion maybe, details about his past actions, but no details about the issues at hand.

All that for the next president is irrelevant. Bottom line is we are there. Nothing that Obama says is going to change that. The issue is how we're going to get out. Thats what the focus should be. He seems to enjoy beating the drums to try and get everyone riled up about we shouldnt gone there in the first place. Thats not his job. What is he going to do? Spend the next four years trying to convince everyone we shouldnt have gone in. I havent heard a single sentence yet on how he plans to put a strategy in place where I'll be safe living here and where my kids wont be involved in that war.

Ford wasnt concerned about what Eisenhower did to get us into Vietnam. His job was to get us OUT!

Well, for starters, Obama actually answered the questions of the moderator. You would figure that with all that past experience that McCant has, he would be able to do better than to give the same typical broad answers that don't even address the issue in question, while sporting that typical plastic dumbfounded smile.

It looks to me like McCain is coming off better. I'm undecided myself, but I like his answers & Obama seems flustered and has made some miss-quotes.

Actually, he's demonstrating the fact that McCain makes very poor choices. That's one of the reasons you have debates, to discredit the other person. Of course, I'm sure you already knew that.

Do you hire a guy who comes into an interview and says he can do X, Y and Z or do you hire a guy who comes into an interview, presents a resume where he shows hes done X, Y and Z and gain valuable experience on top of saying he can do X, Y, Z.
