A war against tyranny seems like a war to me.

The US can't even protect its own border with Mexico, so I don't know they are in a position to make such demands.

Z 09-16-2008 10:09 PM

Think about the irony though. The US is supposedly protecting the US homeland from terrorists, drug and gun runners, etc by securing the Afghan-Paki border when criminals, drugs, guns, (and one day absolutely) terrorists or potential terrorists are walking straight into the US proper from Mexico. It's ridiculously crazy, and yet the neo-cons still carry on how this war is to protect the US?

Actually they could start getting kickbacks from local insurgents to add devices into the servers so that they can EMP whole datacenters at a certain time shutting down shit loads of US based sites. While the Pentagon is QQ'ing over they inability to look at fake Palin pics, the Paki's will swoop... I see through their cunning plan...

A scary and sober thought:2 cents:

JaneB 09-16-2008 11:38 PM

Apparantly they can not protect their borders either.

Pakistan acknowledges the presence of al-Qaida fugitives and its difficulties in preventing militants from seeping into Afghanistan. However, it insists it is doing what it can and paying a heavy price, pointing to its deployment of more then 100,000 troops in the increasingly restive northwest and a wave of suicide bombings across the country.

o rly? what is it considered then? on the defensive or offensive, combat is combat, a war is a war. if the us continues to ignore their warnings, pakistan will indeed be at war with america...

tical 09-17-2008 02:56 AM

seems like they're pushing towards losing one of their supposed friends in the middle east right now. i don't see how they could have figured ignoring pakistans threats was a good idea. now they're on shakey ground with what was supposed to be a close ally.

I've always considered Pakistan to be a two-faced ally.

The only attack on US ship during peacetime ever, done by an ally.

I guess they missed the American flags flapping in the wind. LOL

"The USS Liberty incident was an attack on a neutral U.S. Navy technical research ship"

"displaying the US flag,"

yep, they ignored the US flags, and flew over multiple times bombing them....

no tin foil hat there -

Bojangles 09-17-2008 06:59 AM
