I?ve stopped smoking & feel great

It has been 2 months since my last cigarette and I don?t have any withdrawal symptoms and do not feel like a cigarette at all, don?t get me wrong it was difficult to go cold turkey the first 4 weeks are the hardest.

I feel better already food tastes better my smell is better and best of all I don?t lose my breath as easily as I did any more! I was an idiot to start smoking in the first place over 30 years ago but hey I?m smoke free now :thumbsup

Yeah I also smoke only very rarely for the past three months (bought me maybe one or two packs) and it's a much better feeling.

Now to fix my left hand so I can start to work out properly again and the reconstruction begins.

Spunky 06-10-2008 06:12 AM

Always good to hear when someone quits, and stays quit.

Smoking that is. It's one of the few times when being a quitter makes you a winner.

I quit 8 day's ago with Chantix. I still haven't really felt the energy boost yet.........

SuzzyQ 06-10-2008 08:38 AM

I have been thinking about quiting again. Its difficult when your husband smokes also. We will kill each other if we quit at the same time.

notoldschool 06-10-2008 09:42 AM

I smoked for like 15 years and gave up as well. After a month I couldnt stand to be around someone who smoked, after two months If I walked behind someone who was smoking at school I wanted to slap them in the face. Now I see someone smoking in public and am disgusted. Congrats.

woj 06-10-2008 09:46 AM

uno 06-10-2008 12:00 PM

One of these days I'll stop. I do enjoy smoking but they stopped making my fave cigs back in january so its rare to find them now.

Absolutely nothing EXEPT for willpower. The best way to do it is to keep very busy all day both physically and mentally for around 2 weeks. Don?t drink coffee, tea or alcohol as they normally go together with a cigarette. Worked for me :thumbsup
