Congrats to him. In my part of the town there's no available houses, but if one would become available the prices would start from something around 750k euros.

The houses on either side of my rental duplex both sold for well over $200K last year.

Property values here are going up up up, it's crazy. There seems to be more people looking than there are houses available. My brother just sold his house on the outskirts of the city for over 3 times his initial investment, on the first day he listed it.

I know there are some little 2 br houses in transcona for around $65K
My old small house sold for $52K just last month, 4 yrs ago it sold for $26K

Around here you can get something that really stands out from the rest for about $300K. Either with lots of land, or something that's really huge.

The typical house seems to go from $100,000 to $200,000. Of course, you have to drive about 40 minutes to get to any major city, and the prices there aren't cheap.

Is Spain very 'adult friendly' and 'english friendly'? You guys have good weather.... been thinking about checking into it more.

Actually that's a bit on the high side. I know if you look hard you can find something in OC for around 500k'ish, you could find a condo for 400k'ish.

100-150k here will get you a decent average house. Newer homes in the 175-300k range. Not very many new homes though since the town is only 5000 people.

I am just north of Seattle proper and you can find some houses in the upper $200k mark, but they are smaller and old. A newer house of decent size with no yard will bump you up to around the $400-500k price point.

Yes, but in the second or twelfth district you won't get an apartment for 200k, let alone a house. It would have to be out of the center.

In Vancouver u can get a really nice 100 year, 800 sqf howse with 750K

depends what you want 300-500k for a decent place. where my parents live you could get a nice place for 150-200k but the job market there is horrible.
