So would any of you would vote for Clinton?
Out of the candidates I have seen so far, she would get my vote. I'd like to see her take it and have Obama has vice. The first ever woman / black man team, would be one for the books, and lets face it, white men have fucked this country up maybe beyond repair.
|
I would vote for Hillary just to get Bill back in the White House. But I don't really like her.. I think Obama seems to have some brains so I'd like to see him as the VP for who ever wins. I dunno if he would have strong enough support to run on his own.
|
imho, having a woman president would be a very very very bad idea. Check out the rest of the world (specifically countries that already hate us) and look at how they view women...We'd be even more of a laughing stock then we already are.
She's got a better chance of being elected though. A black man will get very little votes most likely. There's LOADS of people that are secretly racist.. |
I dont see a black man getting the top spot. And it will be hard for hillary, but if she wins, she will set the stage one way or the other for suture women. If she does great, then the next prez could be another woman. If she fucks up, there will not be another woman for a LOOOOOOOOOG time.
The reason I dont see a black man getting the prez job, is to many people ( whites ) will fear him giving more power to blacks. |
I'm voting for the democrat that has the best chance to win.
I'll see where the polls are as we get closer. |

I might vote for Hillary. Let's see how the primary campaign pans out. I kind of doubt she would select Obama as her running mate. I'm guessing she will go with an older white guy to reassure people that there is someone stable behind her on the ticket, and possibly someone from the South or West, for strategic political reasons. Someone from Texas or California might help with electoral votes.

I'd sooner vote for Bill Richardson than that harpy.

You just know that if Hillary gets the democratic vote... the Republicans will get a women to run against her.

Your pretty much right on, as a matter of fact I doubt obama will make it past super tuesday let alone the convention. I think a good choice for her to select from would be: 1. Gov Richardson (western states, part spanish, lots of experience) 2. Former Sen. Edwards 3. Possible Indiana Sen. Bahye (sp) |

nah, repubs usually pick from "who" is next in line so to speak... Dems fight more in the primaries, repubs go buy age, and next in line, usually. |
No way, might as well vote for Oprah Winfrey.
|
Well, she's been a damn good senator and knows presidential politics from the inside. She'll be super strong. I'd vote for her no problem. Bit too soon though because we need to see the slug fest first.

Well we will see a little slug fest - I imagine it won't be too rough though. Shit Hillary has Terry Mcullife (sp) as her national manager, carville is back helping out and don't even forget the best, smartest political mind since mabey FDR or ever, Bill Clinton.. Still will be tough, why do you think the last Senator to win was in 1960, JFK, Gov's usually win / get the nomination. |

I just hope that the Democratic party nominates a strong enough combination of candidates that we take control of the presidency. I do however think that due to the sensitivity of this years election, I don't think it's the year for them to try something this risky and have such a diversified combination of candidates. |
How can you possibly know who you would vote for so early in the race?
|
She won't run this time but probably next time. But I would vote for her if she did I have heard only good things about her.

Agree, while I don't think race or gender should ever matter in politics, I know reality to well. That's why I think Gov. Richardson is running for "vp" :) |

I agree 110% :thumbsup |

Seriously doubt it makes any difference from a Middle East angle - they got better stuff to bother about than whoever is the President of the US. The only factor that obviously does concern people in the Middle East is the decades of US foreign policy which helped to get to this stage - and doubt it matters whoever gets elected, unless there is a more constructive scenario, little will change. But.. meantime, it's your President - elect who the hell ya want. |

Want to really make a difference? Look at the other candidates, decide which one you hate the least, and vote for them. Even if it means putting one in for Rudy. |
Remember the days? Peace, economy booming, federal budget deficit gone, gas at $ 0.99 a gallon and a New York Strip steak for 4.99 at Publix!
We need the Clintons back badly. |
