What do you use to edit raw HTML code...
 

Wondering what everyone uses to edit raw HTML code. I currently use Editplus and was wondering if there is a much more powerful software with time saving features out there. Paid or Freeware.

The only IDE I use - http://www.eclipse.org

I use ultra edit for everything from html to php or just writing down notes

its not free, but it does kick ass

EditPlus or Crimson Editor...

I use HTML-Kit by Chami for html, php, perl, etc etc.

UltraEdit works good

I just use Textpad.. dreamweaver is apparently good. I have it but never got around to using it.

Maybe i'm not reading the question right but i just use notepad to edit raw HTML

BBedit on a Mac. I only use that anyway :winkwink:

i'll check it out. have any idea if it's better than editplus?

Cute Html is the best

notepad is good...but there are alot of other software out there that can save you alot of time and make it alot easier to view raw HTML, like giving colors to the different tags

The FTP functionality is the only reason. Otherwise I'd use notepad.

UltraEdit, NoteTab Plus and some other thing that's free, but OK - NotePad++

Dreamweaver if it's local and Cute FTP if it is on my server.

Has a great search and replace function that handles blocks of text, html, code, anything and can do the SAR through all open files at one time. I have used others that had a similar capability but this one just really out did them all for me.

Notepad. I have Dreamweaver and CuteHTML but never use them.

Homesite. I like the color coding and I have been using it for years, so I know it by heart.

I usually use notepad, and then dump it into dreamweaver to make sure I wrote everything right, and make minor adjustments.

Dreamweaver 8 works perfect.

You are not alone, my friend. I also use it, but not as much as I used to. Notepad has became my weapon of choice lately.
