i live in seattle. i think people are just as ignorant in their USA bashing because they learn most of what they know from movies and entertainment as people in the US are for bashing the rest of the world because they learned some short cuts that exempt them from thinking like "the american dream" "worlds greatest democracy" et al and a host of other great sounding tag lines... yet, can't really defend their stance because it never occured to question it.
