The price on this unit is $3300

Xeon is so 1999

$3000 is way too much

I didnt make up the price its his asking price

I could build this for about $1800

So it sounds pretty fine to me

I dont pay anywhere near those prices. Just an example im looking at an Audigy2 for $29. Even walmart sells em for $59:

The raid card is worthless you can throw that off the deal right there. And the case? Who cares about a $175 case.. You have to realize the buyer wont care for such things.. Plus your values are way high and its used.. I'd say try to get $1800 for it and even that is reaching.

I need one with diff specs. Not a gaming system, but a database server. So you can use whatever cheap video will work. No sound. Maybe faster RAM or 4GB instead.

You obviously don't know who I am if you think I'm trying to make money from this thread. Ohh yeah 50 bucks, I'm running off to buy an island with that bank!

My point was, this is a webmaster board. Not some forum where computer illiterate hags hang on which don't know the value of a computer. This guy is trying to sell an over priced used computer? Come on, Just a bit stupid to try and sell a used computer for more than the price of a new one on a webmaster board (and $800 more, not like it's a couple bucks over).

It's not a deal, looks more like a scam to me. Just because he says "it's my friends deal" makes it ok? What kinda logic is that? Sorry, not going to let some poor soul get suckered into spending $800 more than it's worth new.

Send me an ICQ if you'd like. You might even be able to find a computer/parts store near you and have the items mailed to them and pick it up after it's put together. Honestly shipping all the parts to me, then shipping the completed computer to you could cost $100-$150 total. So if you do have a shop near you I suggest going with them. If not drop me a line and I'll be happy to help ya out. :thumbsup

Litsen you Kook. I don't know how much this thing should cost - I was trying to do my friend a favor and get someone here what looks to be a good computer if they want it, before he goes and puts it on ebay, paying all their fees.
