Crazy fucking sponsor - Saharagetsdirty.com - The whole story
 

Anyone dealing with sponsor be warned, he has no idea how business works. He sent me a letter telling me I couldnt use his galleries if I was using a competing sponsor. Idiot.

OK. Enough is enough. This guy is crazy. Now he false states his TOS says tgps with trade scripts are not welcome. Someone please check them out and verify they dont before he changes them.
Here are our emails in their entire form.

OK. I will make sure and post these emails for you at GFY and AWI. We are already having quite a conversation about you. Up until now I haven?t named names. But I feel its pretty important that my fellow webmasters know what kind of sponsor they may be signing up for. I also have copies of your sign up page and TOS. Nothing in there states I cant promote other programs at the same time as your, and nothing in there says I cant use a trade script, which nearly all of todays tgps do.
Also no where in any of my emails did I ever say anything about trade scripts. So I guess you went back to my site to check out my gallery rotation script again since you mistook it for a trade script. Have no fears, I will be in contact with the owner of this script and make sure you are taken out of it.

I hate to say this but I'm not happy to work with affiliates who use trading scripts when promoting Sahara's site. I do state this somewhere before you signed up.

If you ever run a clean tgp or links page or you make your own galleries from my material, you'll be a welcome addition.

Look deeper into the site and you will see that each link is actually going to the same rotating script. I don?t know if you clicked the links or what. Each rotator script owned by Muliniche. I get 99% of the traffic that clicks on each link, the other 1% either goes to his affiliate code or his tgp. As far as how many galleries from each sponsor are in what script, I don?t know. If you are saying I cant promote two different sponsors, I have no control over that either since I don?t own the script.

In just looked at http://www.totally4free.com/indian.shtml and 99% of the listed pages there are to Anjali. Are these your own or affiliates for her site, and so I would like to know how you'll be promoting Sahara Gets Dirty.

I know it might seem strange for a sponsor to query a new affiliate, but I don't like to see both Anjali's and Sahara's sites almost fighting for attention on tgps etc. I look at the posts on Netpond where wm's are asking for trades with other Indian tgp's and all they do is promote Anjali, so in effect any traffic sent to them just sells her and no one else.... DUH. I won't work with anyone who has a site like that.

I have 60+ hosted pages for Sahara plus a lot of the material is available in zip files to create your own pages, so if you would let me know your plans, I'll send you all the details by return

You guys are really strange never mind me... I didn't want the guy as an affiliate for one of my sites. It's as simple as that, except he had to go crying everywhere like a spoilt child.

Out of interest how many tgp's are there on the net ? How many are good enough to make real money for the sponsors and themselves ? Very few I'm sure. I work with a few of the very big MGP and links sites who have real traffic and make us all $$$.

I've found in the six years of only running Indian avs and pay sites that most tgp traffic just want freebies. A surfer goes to a tgp and we'll say it has 100 links to galleries, each with 15-20 pics... With all that about why would the surfer want to join a site :) In fact he could make an illegal site from all the free content he's able to steal... LOL.

hmm, seems to me the people sending you traffic and sales no matter how its sent and how much is sent is what pays your hosting. At least that's how it works over here for the program I work for... and oddly enough, we are somewhat successful

Wow, this is amazing. Not going to slam either one but shit, scratching my head. We provide FHG's to our WM's to promote our 70+sites and provide other creatives that have made our affiliates millions since 1996...our program works. We do have limitations how how you promote(ie, no spam) but not to extreme exclusivity. I am with Sherm, I will talk to the dormant webmaster that has not sent traffic in over a year to the large WM's that send large traffic amounts daily. All treated the same. Our affiliates are gold and if they want to promote with other sites on their TGP's it is still a sales opportunity for PK to make sales and the WM to make nice $$$$. Just my 2 cents.

...And because I like hearing that attitude, you've just earned one more affiliate. I have a couple hits I can send a day. :thumbsup

Why anyone would promote any Indian chick besides Anjali is beyond me anyway. I don't even promote the niche but I know who that chick is. One of the most fuckable chicks on teh intarweb for sure.

I do the same with affiliates.

When I send them the welcome email with details for the promotional material, I always include that they know where I am and if they ever need anything they only have to ask. I often make up specific packs of pics for affiliates for their own galleries. I've even shot content specially for them. If I have a productive affiliate, I'll climb a mountain. If I find an affiliate who's slowed down, I will also ask him "What's up" :)

Sponsors with this attitude just make me shake my head. Every whale was a "little guy" at some point. Believe me, those programs who showed a small webmaster love in his/her early days will continue to get the bulk of his traffic as they grow.

You assume that this guy only has one little TGP to send traffic from, but he could have an entire network of TGP's, free sites, AVS, blogs, SEO pages, etc. that he's willing to put your site up on if you perform and work with him on converting his TGP traffic.

if you don't want certain people as affiliates make you should make your program invite only, where you have to show your sites and how you will promote, etc. still seems silly tho. i guess you are worried about wasted bandwidth?

You know in 1999 I had a couple of trades with Indian TGP's and totally4free. I seem to remember one of them was sending me some of the worst traffic ever. I swear it was hitbot, but at that time it was pretty hard to tell a good hitbot through server logs. Was it your site?

Finally.... I have never run a tgp, so wouldn't have sent you any hits. My first ever site was a pay site and I made two avs sites in Feb 1999 to promote it. From there I just made avs sites for ages.

A question

Aren't sponsors allowed to decide if they want a wm as an affiliate or not ? I didn't like the guys site so I rejected him. I have many affilates who have tgps as I've said before.

Yup all my sites are ugly but they sell... Maybe cos I have REAL Indians not White girls with bindi;s stuck on there forehead..

Don't matter if an affiliate is sending 100 hits or 10,000 hits, they get treated the same by me. If you're going to be successful in this business you have to learn that. It's simple.. Try taking care of your affiliates, helping them with whatever they need & giving them tips on how to promote your sites. I'm very thankful for any and every affiliate we can get, and I show them that :)

Some sponsors don`t allow their FHG`s on skimming TGP`s. Nothing new.

WJXXX- The sponsors that I have seen that dont allow skimming tgps are saying they dont allow skimming from their THUMBS since they own them. Thats fine. I have a text TGP. My link says "Todays Indian Galleries"
But according to him using his hosted galleries makes me, and most of the rest of you "lazy leeches".
