Most worthless Major in University?
 

Anyone know what it is?

'general studies'..why bother? However, any degree is what you make of it. I know lawyers that had media studies degrees to start out with, etc.

It actually is a useless major. I took it because I wanted to get into radio, until I actually worked in radio and found out how crappy the pay was. :upsidedow

don't know if it's really "worthless" but it's the general "cop-out" major because it requires the least credits to finish.

Psychology.

my friend recently got his Bachelors of Fine Art. he's travling to Italy this fall to become a beatnik.

Yeah I heard this and psych.... interesting.

Actually, my roommate got an Environmental Studies degree. Got paid to live in Costa Rica near the ocean to study rain forests, got paid to travel to China to do soil studies, going to get paid to live in Hawaii. Yea, granted the "pay" isn't huge, but damn - doing what you love and getting paid to travel to do it, sounds pretty cool.

I know a guy with a Sociology degree (granted, its not a major.) Today he is a janitor.

I graduated with a bachelor's degree in sociology, and now I am working in retail; I also owe $20,000 in student loans. Please do not major in liberal studies or the social sciences (i.e., sociology, anthropology, psychology, women's studies, political science, ect.) unless you're willing to attend graduate school and become a professor and/or researcher.

The real talent of the guys I went to school with that were philosophy majors was they could roll a near perfect joint with one hand.

heheh, i minored in philosophy :) when i go back i'm going to do a masters in phil, or math.

Do college. I wish I had gone to college when I was 18, instead of waiting for university at 20. The shit that goes down in dorms is unreal. :)

I always wanted to go to the International Academy of Art and Tech.

After being in the business for several years, and allready being succesful, I went to the local campus. They wanted $60,000 for tuition. I was like...... FUCK THAT!

For what? To teach me shit I allready know, just so i can have a peice of paper to get a limited paying job working for someone else?
