I had one of those noodle (just add water) bowls & the flavor was Kimchi.
It was really good, never had the real stuff though :/

axelcat 06-23-2005 12:01 PM

never had it before

sextoyking 06-23-2005 12:02 PM

Hi Ramos,

My Wife is 1/2 Korean and she eats Kimchi quite a bit :)

I don't like it as it's way to spicy for me.

Just_Dave 06-23-2005 12:02 PM

that sounds good to snack on for lunch

Peaches 06-23-2005 12:03 PM

I've always wanted to try it. They have some in a jar in our local (small) grocery store's salad section (refridgerated). Would that be good or is it like cookies - storebought usually tastes like crap?

AdultInsider Cloner 06-23-2005 12:07 PM

I've never had it....need to try it though I think

sextoyking 06-23-2005 12:09 PM

Peaches,

The stuff we get at Safeway - Mary seems to say that it is as good as the stuff I sometimes buy her at the local korean market.

My kids love the heck out of it too :)

Do not buy it at any American grocery store, please go to an Asian Market, for the good good stuff. You may be shot at because they are usually in bad neighborhoods, but if you can make, it's Worth it! :pimp

So spicy.....and it cleans out your system! :thumbsup

Mr Pheer 06-23-2005 12:14 PM

I lived in South Korea for a year and ate it all the time. Dont get much of it now except for when I go to a Korean BBQ once or twice a month.

tranza 06-23-2005 12:15 PM

I've never tried it...

Peaches 06-23-2005 12:18 PM

Oh yeah, like we have an Asian market here in the hills :) Heck, I don't think we have any Asians except those that work at the 2 nail salons and they don't live here ;) I'll check next time I go to ATL though. Thanks :)

candyflip 06-23-2005 12:19 PM

Phoenix 06-23-2005 12:19 PM

pornguy 06-23-2005 12:20 PM

swedguy 06-23-2005 12:24 PM

Nothing beats opening up a jar of Kimchi without a towel over it and in the sink.... my ex did that. Kimchi juice all over the kitchen :disgust

[CG] 06-23-2005 12:25 PM

dunno bout the system cleansing part, but I love spicy food & if its anything like the soup I get the real thing must be 10x better.

thx for the heads up on it!!

swedguy 06-23-2005 12:27 PM

The best Korean food is those rice sticks/cakes in red sauce. Not sure what it's called... but this is kinda what it looks like:

I love that stuff. So chewy and the red suace is HOT and delicious :Graucho

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 06-23-2005 12:28 PM

Hot pickled cabbage. Personally I'm not a big fan, although I do like some Korean foods.

When I was a kid living in Hawaii, my sister bought a bottle of Kimchee and then opened the jar in our car and proceeded to spill it. The car reeked for a week no matter how many times my Dad told my sister to scrub it down again...

:smokin

hova 06-23-2005 12:59 PM

no I don't

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 06-23-2005 01:14 PM

I like the Korean restaurants that let you cook the marinated beef yourself on a gas grill at your table. In Korea they even have restaurants that have hot coal stoves built into the table, which tastes even better. Just thinking about it makes it possible to almost smell and taste it.

Hmmm...I'm thinking Korean BBQ tonight.

Fun post...thanks!

mmmmmm, GOOD stuff! :D

One of the drunkest evening I've ever had was in San Francisco. We were 10 or so and one of us ordered chicken gizzards and a pitcher of Soju. Never tried either before and Soju was good stuff, but I could be without the gizzards :winkwink:. At the end of the evening we had emptied their Soju stash and we ended up having shopping cart race outside a store to sober up.
Oh those young foolish days :winkwink:

AdultNex 06-23-2005 01:16 PM

Wow, usually Americans can't handle spicy foods.

98% of all "spicy" American-made hot sauce is shit.
