StatsRemote.. what are we paying for?

AFF changed their stats like 4 days ago .. and it still doesn't work with StatsRemote... kinda thought that this was what we paid that monthly fee for..

Sly 06-11-2005 04:44 PM

SR updates about twice a month. Give them time. They have many sites to update for and many more to add. Software updates aren't instant.

sacX 06-11-2005 05:12 PM

you're a little impatient.

FIX01 06-11-2005 05:14 PM

since theyll probably check this thread how about fixing MFM ???. it's been inaccurate for months

UnifiedStats_John 06-11-2005 05:18 PM

shouldn't have to wait...we've already updated for aff

We are adding programs every day and have many features not available in other solutions...and we are the lowest priced on the market...

maybe give our free trial a shot for an alternative :)

taibo 06-11-2005 05:31 PM

I was waiting for that.

This thread seemed like an incognito(semi) spam attempt.

sorry Uno...I have absolutely no idea who Biskoppen is...

fact is, it's a major issue for many people as it's a huge program...and while many people have grown accustomed to having to wait weeks for updates, it's not a viable option for others...I'm sure that's why he created the post...

The industry finally has their first alternative for a stats retrieval program, and I'm certainly going to respond to people who might be in need for an alternative.

The lack of competition is the reason many people are complacent with the delay...We are hoping to fill a gap in expectations for many people.

Competition is a good thing...and this market/niche has had none for years...

Oh, I didn't mean to come off as I did. I applaud you for your capitalistic instincts. The thread just felt fishy after seeing you push hard lately. I'm glad there's another option and perhaps I'll take you up on the 30 day trial.

adonthenet 06-11-2005 05:54 PM

little time.

slapass 06-11-2005 05:55 PM

stats remote rocks period.

Tuga 06-11-2005 05:57 PM

It's true they should jump on this fast, because it's AFF, not just another sponsor.

ah...and I see where you were coming from...

When a single product has the entire market for such a long time and others have made attempts to enter the market and quickly left, you can imagine, it's tough to get your foot in the door...people get very comfortable with the product they are using, the demand for new features lowers and innovation slows...

My goal was to make something which added functionality, while lowering the price. The ability to update programs quickly is a huge feature.

Now, an even greater task I face is making the public aware and bringing people on board. This happens to just be something which highlights some of our features and I needed to take the opportunity to make sure people knew there are now options available.

Hope you give it a shot :)

Unifiedstats_John - Does your program use shitty Java? Or *require* shitty IE? Just questions thats all.

lol...no Java. And not IE, completely...it was built using microsoft.net ...and uses the guts of ie for rendering reports and such... It doesn't use IE though for gathering the stats.

The main windows are browsers (tabbed browser), so new windows aren't opened...rather, they are opened directly in the application's interface...and all reports and such are rendered in html.

Besides the ease of use from providing everything in a single interface, this allows for a very flexible environment for displaying stats...

Yet IE is still the guts so any spyware that runs upon IE startup will still run?

People get the wrong idea about statsremote. They do not fix programs instantly or even within a couple of days. Statsremote works with thousands of different programs, so every 2 weeks, they collect a list of programs that need to be fixed and fix them. I've been using statsremote for a while, and they've always fixed every program I've needed.

cambaby:
no, IE isn't the guts of the program...we just decided to use html to display the stats so we would have a very flexible interface in which we could roll out improvements steadily...IE makes up a very marginal part of the application, only being used to render the reports and browse affiliate links.

And it's not really a full blown IE instance...it's the underpinnings of IE...so toolbars, spyware and such you might have on your system will not be loaded when you are running UnifiedStats.

SomeCreep:
I've built a system where programs can be updated in much less time and added plenty more features on top of that...all on top of a lower price.

It is possible to fix programs quicker...it just hasn't been being done...and this feature will appeal to many

FYI since we know a lot of our affiliates use stats remote we let them know in advance of our update. They said they would make the changes after we pushed our changes. Hopefully they get it done this week.

Chris 06-11-2005 10:26 PM

haha i cant wait for our new site to be doneeeee
never have to wait for a stats program to update ever again

can you explain "starting at 15.99 a month" a bit more? i can't find a price chart on your website

Look at the bottom 16 per month for year, and when you buy per month it is 20usd.

As far as SR, they have a ZILLION programs. And they already stated they update once every 2 weeks. Some big sponsor changing stats doesn't change that statement.

natas 06-15-2005 05:14 AM

John I just downloaded the free month trial.

When trying to launch the app gets caught in a constant loop

...verifying software version
Newer version of software is available, beginning upgrade process
...updating software
<repeat until fade>

it just goes round and round like this...to the point where I had to reboot my pc :(

can you shed any light on this please?

cheers

also your http://www.unifiedstats.com/programs/index.php page is messed up

It should. My stats without AFF are meaningless.

Regarding the page, what browser are you using...looks ok in the browsers I'm testing with...

I use SR but my IP keeps getting blocked by CCBill and many programs dont update (Red square). I am ready to try a different program. Wasnt there a thead started a week or so ago about a new stats program where they were looking for people to test it or something???

TheSenator 06-15-2005 10:36 AM

Do you see any stats remote tech support people in this thread? A simple yes or so will suffice.

When you support more sponsors, I'll give you guys a try. Right now I think 75% of them are missing.
