Nor did I.

MickeyG 10-12-2004 02:46 PM

anyone got some proof of this? All i see is a bunch of people with low post counts making the claims

scoreman 10-12-2004 02:47 PM

I think that leaves 110 nervous staff at iBill.

fine, we will have amputate your head confirm this

Shoplifter 10-12-2004 02:51 PM

This day to day pummelling of Ibill merchants has got to stop. We need some solid rumour control now.

For what? Companies let people go all the time. I worked for a company a dotcom one third of the staff was let go in one day. Their stock for at .39 a share now its at $14 . I kick myself for not buying $1000 worth.

Have you heard this Tony or Scoreman from a source from Ibill? I would not doubt it, as they are gonna take a huge hit from this issue. I believe they must be trying to make this company work, as othewise, they would release our rebill databases.

I have not and I spoke to them today.

TheLegacy 10-12-2004 03:03 PM

I wouldnt panic from what i see - the ones that got fired were from their public relations department :Graucho

whatif_3 10-12-2004 03:05 PM

in all seriousness, this is probably a good move to make the company leaner to try to overcome this obstacle, paying salaries/health ins, at a time like this does not decrease the company burn rate

if true, its very sad when you think of all of the familes affected by this

its also amazing that ibill will not release cc databases upon request, i know of one person that was able to get it released from ibill, it took a lot of screaming and the threat of a lawsuit

scardog 10-12-2004 03:08 PM

I want them to continue to process. Keep the databases, as long as they will start processing them soon!

BigWebRev 10-12-2004 03:09 PM

the # was 49.

thats how many got let go, sorry to hear.

because, you know.... Juicy and them are always deadily serious due to their enormous amount of gfy freetime.

Look. I'm glad they're gone. They were morons and idiots the lot. THE DUMBEST employee at ccbill knows more about the internet / integration / scripting than the head of IT at ibill. Anyone who was with ibill, just call ccbill up and they'll hook you up. this just happened to me, so I know what I'm talking about

Oh wait. I must be lying as I have less than 5000 posts (you know... 3 hours a day of reading gfy instead of working)

scoreman 10-12-2004 03:26 PM

A few thoughts on this guys.

First i think if iBill is cutting staff clearly that shows they are having liquidity problems. But keep this in mind, iBill had like 160 something staff members the last I heard. Back in the days when they use to process the same volume pre intercept days they ran it with 60 something staff members. I heard the staff reductions were imminent over there and I feel badly for the staff that were cut loose without notice. There were alot of good people at iBill and more than a few of them can probably say that I personally put them through the SCORE interrogation/meat grinder over the years and I hope they won't hold that against me. Just trying to get higher performance from you guys.

This ship is showing all the signs of taking on water. If you are with iBill and have not secured a new processing plan as a backup then you would be a fool to not do it immediately. In fact many would argue your already in a situation where you might not be able to process sometime in the near future. Honestly anyone running paysites that does not have backup processing running declines is leaving money on the table, but thats another issue.

Eurocharge seems to me to be a former iBill staffer. My guess its Edward Cherry. Edward left iBill in bad terms so take that for what its worth on intentions for his posting. Not that I necessarily disagree with alot of what he has said on Xbiz but knowing who is the man behind the posts sometimes gives them alot more meaning.

scardog 10-12-2004 03:27 PM

I belive the rumor is true. I can't see how they could stay fully staffed with millions of dollars being held by First Data. CCbill is a great company, but having Ibill in the game is important, IMO.

You hit the nail on the head as far as processing new signups.

What are your thoughts on the Visa rebills? Have you got any insight on that issue Scoreman, and if so I would like to hear it.

Shap 10-12-2004 03:36 PM

Hey Scardog. With regards to the rebills i think the issue is simple. It has now been 15 days of not processing them Everyday your rebill database value decreases. Everyday your chances of processing october rebills decreases. I think once we hit the 3 week mark we can kiss october rebills goodbye. :(

scardog 10-12-2004 03:38 PM

If they don't process them in October, does that mean we kiss them goodbye forever?

Shap 10-12-2004 03:54 PM

Well that means we kiss goodbye a large chunk of revenue plus the possibility of not being able to charge them moving forward. The older your rebills are the less valuable the data.

scardog 10-12-2004 03:55 PM

I think you are right. Thanks Shap. Let's hope they can get it together real quick.

Doctor Dre 10-12-2004 03:58 PM

Ok that fucking sucks ... :( Only 2 processors now

xclusive 10-12-2004 04:00 PM

This is probably just a strategic move you see it in mainstream all the time I think it's a good thing for the business actually...

stocktrader23 10-12-2004 04:11 PM

Some of you guys are hilarious....

Evidently they may have fired the guy who does the CMI announcement updates.
