ATTN: Bush Haters.... What do you have to say to this?
"The U.S. economy grew in the third quarter at an even faster pace than originally reported, the government said Tuesday. "
"Consumers got a boost in the late summer and early fall from child tax credit rebate checks " http://money.cnn.com/2003/11/25/news...ex.htm?cnn=yes |
I'm sure it was Bush that turned it around while on vacation at his Texas ranch.

Give me back my polo underwear you fucker

That it is true, if you pay enough people off (i.e. child tax credits and lower their taxes) that you can probably get re-elected despite the fact that you started a war based on a lie and then try to cover it up by saying an evil dictator is out of the picture despite the fact that there are many worse that Saddam all over the place in Africa.
I could go on, but does it matter? Flow |

Come get it biatch! |
The economy is growing just as fast as the deficit ... this is going to bite us ALL in the ass sooner than later.
|
sorta like building an economy on pets.com and furniture.com and cooking the book scandals.
Whoops, i forget, you want to go back to that. |
Wow, what a fucking superstar, he's doing a great job now. :thumbsup
Talk to me when he gets you out of dept. http://www.bigleaguebetting.com/bush...it_graphic.gif Do you understand that like 50% of your taxes goes to paying interest on Bush's fucking deficit? Good luck with that. :thumbsup |
We still aren't where we were though, not to mention that the Gov. is still reporting the largest Federal deficit in the nation's history.
These are temporary numbers, no one is getting these child tax credits every quarter. And even then, we don't have the money to pay for them, in the end we get a little change back once, but as a country we sink further into the red. |
Bush better get to work. He needs to make up those 3 million+ jobs that have been lost since he took office.
Byt hey his foreign policy moves have worked out great though right? LOL "Mission Accomplished".....what a fucken jackass regards powderfinger |
im looking forward to another four years.
Also, heres proof that this message board is ultra left. If this article was about someone on the right it would have been posted 50 times. http://www.nytimes.com/2003/11/22/po...partner=GOOGLE Howard dean got out of nam with a suspect back injury, then spent a year as a ski bum. |
You have so much to say about what bush has done...
But what did Clinton do? :1orglaugh |
Quote:
Holy crap... that's crazy. 500 billion spent. |
"economy grew" is just a very positive way of saying it's not as horribly bad as it was last quarter.
Now it's just mildly horribly bad. |

nevermind. :winkwink: |

Sounds like he was having some fun with that old cocaine habit on our tax dollars. Edited to mention: Dean showed up for his draft hearing and was rejected by the military doctor because of his back. |

he didnt do anything retarded, thats for sure |

What kills me is we vote in $87 billion a year to help rebuild Iraq like it was nothing but we have to fight like the dickens to get a $4 billion a year medicare updated plan in place, one that pays for presciptions for seniors. I don't get it. Flow |

It would be an invasion followed by a conflict if we had actually lost or pulled out. But we won right? I mean no Americans are losing their lives anymore and Iraq is the picture of Democracy right? Flow |
Bush? I would not swap him for Tony Blair and I don't like him much these days
|
Rebate checks, give me a break! Clinton proved urban development creates the real jobs and money, not trickel down taxes and rebates. :glugglug

Gee, according to you Bush dick suckers the economy is based on the previous presidents policies. :1orglaugh |

I dont understand why any one in the adult biz would support Bush.

However, even in this case, the government acknowledges this was a one time spike from people spending their rebate checks. Now what? What will continue to keep the economy going up? Better yet, WHEN will jobs finally start showing up in enough numbers to replace the 3 millions jobs that have been lost since Bush became President? |
Headless and Brainless
You are being fooled by your own president. :321GFY Please don't start to whine in 2005 when you have elected Bush again and economy is worser than shit. Thanks (pssttt... it's all 1 big money trick) |
"Gee, according to you Bush dick suckers the economy is based on the previous presidents policies. "
It is. Notice how clintons economy built on pets.com and book cooking scandals completely collapsed. A natural economy correction + 911 = shit |

Headless is a Bush lover?! Spew! Figures! :1orglaugh |

If he is..I'm soo sorry to hear that.:1orglaugh |

what he said... Bush is a freedom hating piece of shit, him and his communist congress can fuckoff... lip-tatoos now being served in the double-plus-good ballroom... |
Here's a crazy thought; maybe the economy and its ups and downs are significantly more complicated than people generally think, and there are a myriad of variables that have nothing to do with policies of the administration in power at any given time, be that administration Democrat or Republican. Do you suppose it's possible - just possible - that there are a wide range of factors that are beyond the control of anyone in any position within the government (for instance natural disasters, significant acts of terrorism, fiscal realities we have no real influence over within the economies of our major trading partners - just to name a few), and therfore one cannot easily assess blame or give credit to a given President/administration when the economy takes an up or down turn?
I'm not saying that the policies of a sitting administration have no effect, or that there aren't better plans and worse ones, just that this whole mess *might* be more complicated than "conservative good/liberal bad" or vice versa. It's food for thought, anyway.... - Q. |
