4 year-old boy shoots 5 year-old sister
|
"Richardson said the 4-year-old cannot be held criminally responsible, but the parents or other adults connected to the house could potentially face charges of leaving the young children unattended or leaving the gun where the children could get it."
uh yeah. i would hope so |
now wait for the anti-gun crowd to come out and blame everyone, everything but the fact the weapon existed.
|
the parents should be shot.
|
:BangBang: the parents
|
:( thats sad. Why the hell do adults leave loaded guns where kids can get hold of them :feels-hot
|
did this happen a couple years ago too?
put the parents away! they shouldn't leave shit like that out, fucking a, a four yr old! jDoG |
yes i shot my sister too, but she got up every time, she was like the Terminator, nothing could stop her. she was very overweight as a child so i think that's what saved her.
|
would this have happened if people were not allowed any guns except hunting rifles?
would this have happened if the parents were not stupid enough and maybe more educated? one can be done with a single law, the other takes generations to change. |
Follow up to that article.
When Billy showed up to the playground all the children stepped asid at the slide and let him go first. |

Gorilla escapes zoo, injures toddler, teen Boston ? A restless gorilla broke out of its zoo enclosure Sunday, injuring a 2-year-old and a teenager before it was sedated and recaptured almost two hours later, zoo officials said. The gorilla escaped from the Franklin Park Zoo minutes before the zoo was scheduled to close, Zoo New England CEO and President John Linehan said. The gorilla injured the young girl and an 18-year-old woman almost immediately after escaping, Linehan said. A witness said she later saw the 5-foot, 300-pound adolescent gorilla sitting at a bus stop on a street near the zoo. |
What kind of parents would leave a loaded semi-automatic handgun out where their kids can just pick it up?
Stupid parents, and now their 5 year old daughter is dead. |

This shit only happens in a country where having a gun in the house is like having a refrigerator or a tv. Makes me sick.

I don't think the gun was the dangerouse part of this equation - stupid fucking parents were - as I said those children could have died any number of ways.
It is very tragic, but we cannot protect the world because some people are stupid an irresponsible. I guess you think alcohol should be illegal because so many people use it irresponsibly by drinking and driving and killing innocent people every day??? |

tragic, the parents are solely reponsible for this incident.

Hand guns exist for only one purpose, to kill humans. |

I personally have known more people that have died from alcohol related deaths than from gunshots (probably would be different if i grew up in the hood).. the parents are to blame for leaving the children home alone or unattended.. :2 cents: |

nope, it was a stupid example, and jennym put it in perspective. In this situation, I dont blame the gun, or gun laws. I blame the PARENTS for 1. leaving children at home 2. having a loaded weapon in the house that was 3. not locked up That gun could have been a sword, matches, drugs, alcohol, whatever the fuck. As a parent you should not leave dangerous things around where kids can get them. As a parent, you shouldnt leave your kids around home alone. :2 cents: |

wow...a lot of "f" words out of my mouth today...sorry.
I get really worked up on very few things, but this story combines two of them children and guns I hope nobody feels personally attacked by me, (this mainly goes to Lane) sorry for the personal attack :) |

no, unfortunately I don't
Do you have a suggestion that will stop people from drowning their children, burning them, starving them, or beating them to death? |
happens alot.
there's a 9.95 trigger lock at walmart. guess your kids aren't worth the ten-spot. |

this all really boils down to the parents. thats it.

now i'm going to go out on a limb here and make a couple assumtions. i have my 9mm auto pistol sitting right here next to me. first off. it NEVER EVER sits around loaded unless it is in my holster in my pants. other than that the bullets are out and in a different place. secondly, for a 4 year to be able to shoot that gun, there HAD TO BE a round in the chamber. there's no way around it, a 4 year is NOT PHYSICALLY strong enough to cock a slide. it's not possible. which means that the parents have allowed a long string of dangerous situations to pile up before something bad happened.
rest assured, if and when i have kids several things will happen. 1.) they will know not to FUCK with dad's guns 2.) they will know how to safely operate and unload a firearm. 3.) i will NEVER EVER leave a loaded handgun, ESPECIALLY WITH A ROUND IN THE CHAMBER, anywhere that a child could get their hands on it. you know when i was a child alot of my friends parents had guns laying around in closets and attics. now here is the moral of the story. i was taught how to properly handle a gun, and i knew they were dangerous, and therefore NEVER fucked around. so the moral of the story is, lock up the guns, and educate the kids. |

I also agree on the point about a round in the chamber....my gun doesn't have one in the chamber, and my child is not physically strong enough to pull the slide back. |

Agreeed! :thumbsup |
