How does a family of 4 go to Burger King without filing for bankruptcy?

I ordered a whopper with cheese and a small french fry.
I'm glad there are not 3 more fat fuckers like me that I'd have to buy this for.

$20 for one meal for a family of four can be close to $2000 a month in food. Eating out for a family is expensive. Always alarms me when I see a family without a lot of money eating out as a staple of their diet.

Where dAFuCk do you get that for $5.00?

You must live in some 3rd world ghetto, because I live in the hood.

His $5 price is fiction and doesn't include drinks or tax.
The price for 4 people with drinks is $32 and up depending on where you live.

If you feed your kids the same $7 meal that you eat, you have bigger issues to deal with?

woj 04-07-2014 03:44 PM

skip drinks + BOGO coupon = $10 for a family of 4 :thumbsup

mineistaken 04-07-2014 04:06 PM

So how much exactly did you pay?
And you did not include drink in your OP.

To answer your question - normal family would go there once or twice a month, it is not everyday food.

I don't know because this was my second time and they just added it onto the mortgage they opened for my first meal.
I'll get the balance in the mail.

You can buy everything to make burgers and fries at home for a family of four for under $32, and it will taste better and be better for you.

I don't want to give you the exact price, you might be able to match it up with my face
after your shift.

Where is racism?
You see racism everywhere because you are racist, not me.

Nobody should cook at home because (breaking news!) it is more expensive than eating out - you have to buy cooker, utensils and so on :1orglaugh

In alot of places, fast food is cheaper than real food like fruits and vegetables. Sad but true.

ErectMedia 04-07-2014 06:47 PM

They fuck ya on the cheese upsell :2 cents:

Takes time and effort to cook food

bronco67 04-07-2014 07:02 PM

Just bring your gatt next time.

baddog 04-07-2014 07:48 PM

I don't eat at those places, but when I did I seem to recall there were always specials and a $.99 menu that would hold you over if that desperate.

atom 04-07-2014 08:48 PM

I took a vacation with my family 2 weeks ago. We decided to stop and eat at a Denny's and I hadn't been to one in probably 15 years. Our total came to $38 bucks for the 3 of us. I was like wtf is this?

Robbie 04-07-2014 09:00 PM

I've been noticing the prices going up, up, and up at fast food joints the last few years.

Also I believe it shouldn't be legal for the govt. to TAX food.

It's immoral.

oppoten 04-07-2014 09:16 PM

Easy, just leave the papers at home :2 cents:

Spunky 04-07-2014 09:18 PM

baddog 04-07-2014 10:37 PM

Eat smarter . . . . cheaper too. Just a small investment up front.

lucas131 04-07-2014 11:15 PM

how the fuck can someone go to three michelin stars restaurant, without filling for bankrupcy? 80euros for soup, 250 for meal, 35 for beer, that is over 350 daily, 10k for month, what the ... :upsidedow

2MuchMark 04-07-2014 11:26 PM

I don't complain about the prices of food at restaurants. I *Love* a great Filet Mignon steak and bottle of red wine. Throw some shrimp in and OMG. A delicious and romantic dinner with your sweetie can easily run you $150 but man is it nice.

Dammit I'm hungry now.

CurrentlySober 04-07-2014 11:33 PM

I went into a BK for the first time in ages a few weeks ago, and bought 2 whoppers and large fries.

Woman asked if I wanted to include drinks as a meal deal. I declined.

I was charged just over £15 ! ($24)

No real punchline, other than I wont be going back in a hurry :)
