If you want to go fat, go eat at these fast food chains.

seeandsee 04-08-2014 04:25 AM

I hoped in America people dont eat every lunch in mac and b.king

L-Pink 04-08-2014 04:41 AM

Just checked local grocery chain on line prices ?..

Ground chuck $3.99 lb, Bakery fresh hamburger buns 8 for $2.99, 2 liter bottle of Coke $1.

So for $8.00 you can feed a family of 4, 2 medium sized burgers on fresh buns, a couple glasses of Coke for $2 each. Anyone on a budget eating out is an idiot.

This. I don't eat a lot of McDonalds, Burger King, KFC etc but when I do have some, there always seems to be full families with tables covered in food, young kids tucking into large fries, super size cokes and burgers. So sad.

L-Pink 04-08-2014 04:57 AM

EBT cards?

klinton 04-08-2014 05:18 AM

jesus christ, how can you eat this shit more than once a month ?:helpme:helpme:helpme

michael.kickass 04-08-2014 06:46 AM

Just don't go there anymore, it will be better for your pocket and also for your health. :2 cents:

sperbonzo 04-08-2014 07:08 AM

Why would you do that, when for about 12 dollars, you can buy a pre-roasted chicken and veggies at the grocery store and eat a much more healthy meal for 4 people?

Hahahha.. Hell in Mexico its more expensive than that. Wife and I went one day for the first time in 3 years 2 burgers and 1 drink was over 15$

The price for 4 people with drinks is $32 and up depending on where you live.

That's cheaper than Serbia man... common...

I haven't been inside a BK in more than 20 years. Have they stopped microwaving their burgers yet? The few times I was there back in the day I expected flame-broiled burgers fresh off the grill/flame/char-broiler/whatever, but was surprised when the girl popped my order into a microwave before handing it to me.

Sorry, I don't care why they do it, never again. Plenty of burger places out there that make them right then and there after you order it and you get it straight off the flame. I don't mind paying ten or twelve bucks for a burger meal when it's a quality burger done properly. BK simply doesn't have it.

They usually cook a batch of meat through the big grill and put them in sort of container where they remain warm. You do not get "fresh out the grill" unless you specifically order that, but then you have to wait longer till frozen meat goes all the way through the grill.

ok so now a family of four wants burgers so they pay $12 times 4 plus tax & tip?

arock10 04-08-2014 11:27 AM

anyway, fast food being expensive is a good thing. Fast food doesn't accurately reflect the health costs

Though I've said this before on gfy and people complain about a family not being able to take their kids out for something special

Vendzilla 04-08-2014 11:28 AM

My Fiance's boss is taking us out to lunch to Sizzler. Free food is free food

They are only taking you to Sizzler because they will save $3 over going to BK.

:1orglaugh

Tom_PM 04-08-2014 01:19 PM

Eating there too often can be a symptom of living in a food desert. Which ironically means you don't have a grocery store option. What then?

dillfly2000 04-08-2014 01:30 PM

Nearest BK is 5 miles away, Sizzler is across the street. I enjoyed the salad bar and Raspberry Iced Tea

Hmmmm, 5 miles away. So considering gas prices, they actually do save $3.

I don't live in a "food desert", but at the same time my schedule doesn't allow me to cook lunch every day.

I get up in the morning, come out to my office and do some prelim (emails, etc.) while I eat my oatmeal.
Then I hit the gym and showers.

By that time it's lunchtime. So I usually grab some fast food and head back to my desk to eat while I work.

I'm guessing that millions of people who work "real" jobs do the same every day.

kittykatt 04-08-2014 02:34 PM

In-N-Out or bust. :thumbsup

crockett 04-08-2014 02:36 PM

One of the things I liked about New England, is there was barely any fast food where I lived. There was shitloads of pizza joints and Dunkn doughnuts but not a lot of fast food chain stores. It meant you couldn't just be lazy to go get a burger all the time.

Sadly that also meant no Hardes/Carals jr

Really? People live where they just can't buy food to eat? A "food desert"?

Sounds like they are fucking retarded and need to be put down.... considering access to food only comes second after access to air and water in terms of basic human needs to stay alive.

Hell yeah!

That's one factor that's not been in this discussion...fast food tastes delicious! (especially that 24 hour McDonald's drive thru at 3 a.m. on a Friday night lol)

Google what? Should I Google "idiot creates family and can't feed it because he's too fucking stupid and irresponsible to even plan to provide the most very basic survival needs.. such as food and water"... or something else?

At what point are individuals responsible for their idiotic decisions and life choices?

If someone told me that they had no choice but to feed their kids food from a local fast food place, i'd do everything in my power to make sure those kids are removed from that house... because that idiocy is just the beginning for them.

Sly 04-08-2014 03:40 PM

I don't know much about food desserts, but food deserts are pretty damn good.

The thing I miss most about an ex-girlfriend is the White Castle about a block from her condo. Nothing beats an early morning bag of sliders.

I personally don't like BK and McD is a last choice as well. Within a mile of where I live, we have a Tommy's, In-N-Out, Hamburger Habit and a couple other hamburger joints that are much better.
2 am, have a Tommy's Chili Cheeseburger, nothing better at that time of the morning

They look like frozen hamburgers from supermarket. I mean they look way worse than even MCD or BK burgers. :2 cents:
What the selling point of white castle?

If you have never had a "White Castle" craving it's hard to explain. You are correct however in your assessment :1orglaugh

.

Add to this that your burger and buns will be healthier than the ones they have. In fact, just their buns will have the same calories as your entire burger.
