Question for you Obama supporters (US only please)
How do you feel about him now? Knowing what you know now, would you still vote for him?
Are you ready for Syria? |
|
|
Are the alternatives still John McCain and Mitt Romney?

at least if mccain or romney were in charge, the dem fans could point and say we told you so and maybe the republican party would have had a massive shake out.

Barack Obama, to hear his advisers tell it, has finally found The One he has been looking for: John McCain. “We have been looking literally for years for someone we can cut deals with, and finally someone has stepped up,” a White House official said. West Wing aides say they now talk with McCain roughly every other day. http://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepa...ccain-n1647826 |

When Bush was president and did something stupid, the conservatives would say "well, a Democrat president would have done the same thing." Now we have Obama as president, doing something stupid, and the Liberals are saying "well, what would McCain have done?"
It's quite cute. Carry-on! |

I like Obama, but I really hope he doesn't attack Syria. Bush made a huge mistake invading Iraq and I hope Obama doesn't make the same mistake. I hope he follow's the UK's lead and keeps out, or at least, waits until the UN inspectors have done their job. If anything, Obama needs to be super careful. Even if the UN inspectors say that gas bombs were used, he can't make the same mistake that Bush did with all of those assholes around him saying there were WMD's where there were none. See? We can agree on some things... who knows? You may be part Canadian, part democrat, part tree-hugging hippie like me..! peace. |

Yes we can. What can we can I don't know ...

The thing is the President has very little power compared to Congress. The people blaming Obama for everything are for the most part uneducated. I'd probably vote for the Green party if I had it to do over again. They match my principals more. Voting for Obama was a compromise to keep Romney out since I live in a battleground state. Romney was a moderate half the time and then an extrmist the other half so I knew not which would be the Romney we would get. I liked the moderate Romney but loathed the wealthy "let them eat cake" extremist Romney.
About Obama, Syria, wiretapping, Patriot laws, Gitmo, I still trust Obama more than I trust Bush though I don't think Bush was as bad as many thought. I'm prone to believing there are reasons why Obama changed his stance on many of these issues. Things we in the public do not know. |
I guess we're expecting people to say "omg Obama isn't Jesus after all!" well, news flash (apparently), nobody ever thought he was in the first place.
There's no going backwards, so lets move ahead and see where it gets us. Although most people probably wouldn't think it, if they even cared which I seriously doubt, personally I'm eager to see Chris Christie avoid the black hole of republican primaries. I'm hoping he watches the other R. candidates race each other over the cliff to the right while he sits there shaking his head and pointing at how crazy they are, and asking if his party REALLY wants another of "those" candidates. I'm betting he will do that and if he does, he has a very very serious shot at the white house. But going backwards nothing changes imho about who would win even knowing whatever it is we think we know today. We can only guess about whatever other candidate would have done for good or bad. |
Over McCain, Romney or W. I'd gladly vote for Obama every time...
That doesn't say much for Obama. It says a lot about the recent GOP candidates. 2016 is already shaping up to be a race decided by the Democratic Party primary. The GOP needs to drop the teaparty, religious right and corporatists if they want to win a general election. Someone like Christie would be a big step in the right direction.... But they'll likely run someone like Ryan or Jeb and alienate half the population instead... The problem is the lack of serious opposition. |
He didn't go far enough on the health care issue, close Guantanamo, create more transparency or push environmental issues hard enough. His grade is a B- at this point.
Bottom line is he is far more like Bush that what he campaigned as. I wanted progressive and got NeoCon lite. Better than classic NeoCon, but it still has a bad aftertaste. By far he was the best choice offered in the past 2 elections and yes, unless you show me someone better, I would vote for him again. |

republican party has a serious and documented identity crisis. i wonder if obama's policies on drones, the nsa and what he does in syria are going to be fodder to help create a dem identity issue.

Yes I know that Bush never ran against Obama. I did not imply that in the comparison. |

The only possible split I can see for the Democrats is with the Greens who could take more votes if the Democrats become too moderate. |

I guess a shitstain of a human being like Mitt Romney would be a better choice.
What is it with old people and Obama? |

The right, when moderate, fulfills an important function though in keeping the left honest. I wish they would get back to being more reasonable. |
I didn't vote this time around. At this point our only choices are the lesser of two evils. I don't see the point in this.
I think I would still pick him over Romney if I had to choose. As for Syria, I don't care too much. I think we should stay out. We need to stop getting involved in such messes. |
Yes I would.

I highly doubt you will find many young folks who bought the dream and still support that scumbag.
I admit that I voted for him the first time around. You'd have to be blind to not see that he's just as big a scumbag as any other politician. The entire government is an overweight, unproductive, over spending behemoth of an existence. If a company functioned like our government in the USA functions, it would be BK'd in less than a year. Nothing will happen though. Rome will fall eventually. Unless you turn off the TV's and Internet of American's, they'll just stay numb and drugged by the programming fed to them in real time. http://03258d8.netsolhost.com/WordPr...wall-e-fat.jpg Keep giving them their Bieber, and Big Brother, and Real Housewives, and their favorite time killer Facebook and they'll stay in line. Anyone expecting society to revolt against the government is feeding themselves a "You wish" sandwich. The masses are lazy, self entitled, and just along for the ride. It's what we've created over the last 100 years. The rest of us are stuck with it. Figure out how to make money off of them. Fuck that guy. |
Where is Assad getting his chemical weapons? Did he make his own or did Saddam hide them there, or were the chemical weapons supplied by the "boogie man"? |
Assad backed down from Bush, thinking that Bush already had all those troops near by and shouldn't fuck with the US, guess he doesn't worry about Barry
|

Then again, I would imagine it's not difficult to make chemical weapons. Any government can do it. Does the US have chemical weapons? |

think Poland in WWII, we have been forced into a position that must be defended... it really sucks for sure... nothing good can come from being forced into this position by loudmouth.... so had Europe told Hitler to fuck off and get his skank ass out of Poland, WWII might not have erupted. once Hitler found out there were no 'teeth or commitment' in anything the powers that be 'stated' the party was on!!!!! Iran world tour!!!! |
