Your gas and electricity bill
Just out of morbid curiosity.
I know some of you dont live in the dorms or at your parents house, so for those of you that do... what are you paying a month for gas and electric? Gas - 175.00 a month (winter time) Electric - 80.00 a month. Is that on the high end? or do some of you have it worse? |
I only have electricity here. Last month was $100, but usually around $50.
|
I have oil its about 250 a month - winter
$140 - electric |
Just got my latest bill. I stay by myself. All electric (no gas). Bill is $126
|
63.00 gas
90.00 electric |
around 60 elect, 200-300 gas
|
electricity was up over $200 last month.I leave all my shit on for some reason, lights stay on all night,tv's,PC's... gas is around $75
|
I pay quarterly. It seems like a lot, but I think you got me beat (without checking my records).
|
I was just thinking about these type of bills today. The gas and electric companies are running a racket. Getting a electric bill in the mail is like getting a report card in the mail when you were in middle school. Like 'damn, I'm afraid to open it'. You never know what you'll see. One month can be $40 next month $150.

Hi,
No gas, Electric about $220.00 per month |
only have electric, no gas. Like $43.00 a month. Southern California. I haven't had to use the heat a single time all winter.
|
Last month our gas was like $210 and electric was about $80. Yuck.

Just got my utility - im in an all electric apt, pretty big. $52.00 Winter. But I live in the desert. Summer it should be $150 total. ouch!
|
electric bill here is 175 a month. electric heat is nasty. and thats canadian
|
Its been abnormally high here too.
Almost double. |
Summertime down here.
According to the last US dollar value down here, my latest bill was: Gas: U$D 13 Electricity: U$D 42 |
Isn't there some sort of problem with oil or something? Some region that makes it has something to do with it.

Methane hydrates.
Our Last Hope. |

Gee.. ya made me go dig out the bills...and it's not pretty.
Looked at January's $317 for electricity and $127 for gas. Went back and looked at July's for comparison... electricity was $321 and gas was $22. Heck.. and we don't leave the lights on much either. In the summer is the a/c mostly that keeps it high. In the winter the lights are on for more hours. |
We used to have bad electric bills during the winter since we only had electric heat. Now after we put in the propane heater, it is ~$250 for two months plus the $75 to fill the tank every three months... I love it!
|
we don't have gas here.... but electric runs around $180 a month

My POINT... What's it 80 there all the time? lol.... I wish ;) |
I just like having my propane, cause even if the power goes out, I have heat and can stay nice and warm!
|
well, that's why I find it unusual that my electric bill is $180 a month here. There's no heat running. Ever. Virtually never any lights on. The only damn thing running is a couple computers, and every once in a while the dishwasher or laundry stuff....
where they're getting $180 worth from, I don't know. |
auto-sprinkler system too.... I forgot
