For the newbs -- basically Cyberotica is suggesting that U cheat your link trades by sending them worthless foreign traffic... I'm suprised that a company of this stature would stoop to this level of telling webmasters how to cheat their link trading partners...

This finally signals a shift to a new method of trading... The cat is out of the hat, thanks to CE.... Instead of productivity ratios, trades will have to be offset by a "country index"... How many of you are trading on country specific parameters?

The high-end CJ scripts will need to have configurable country specific traffic trading parameters... for those webmasters that want to capitalize on specific countries (if they have a use for that traffic for say a language specific sponsor...)

Just because somewhere on a website or via an email or whatever something is said, it DOES NOT MEAN that statement is a company wide policy. It means nothing more than one person said it, and that in itself doesn't mean jack shit. It can also mean that something was mistated and misworded; The person was trying to say one thing and it just came out the wrong way.

Every time we make changes to our main site we have three or four of us look it over. Yet still things end up on our website that can be taken many different ways.

Email is no different. A few weeks ago we sent out an email to all of our webmasters. It was simple message that bascially said if we don't have your correct address you won't be getting your tax information. However, because of the way it was worded, some webmasters thought that we would be cutting off their checks if their information was incorrect.

When you are dealing with companies you have to remember that fact - You are dealing with a COMPANY that has EMPLOYEES that make mistakes, and sometimes say things that come out wrong.

Furthermore, a public message board is not the proper place to be complaining about a sponsor, even more so when it's CE.

The Fly we do not condone cheating. We're helping Webmaster optimize their income by taking traffic that does nothing with our programs and giving them the ability to monetize it somewhere else.

That you get from this that we condone cheating is a far leap. You obviously don't know what you're talking about.

Filtering this garbage traffic off and sending it elseware is GOOD, it's not cheating. Filtering off that garbage and trying to find someplace where it can be used to make money is not cheating, it's smart...which is obviously something you are not.:1orglaugh

CyberErotica is doing nothing wrong, their just giving the bad traffic back to webmasters because the dont even want to waste bandwidth on it.

Some of you will shit if you ever start tracking where your traffic really comes from. Posts on CE boards showed some webmasters with TGP galleries had over 70% of their traffic coming from China and Uraguay. CE just said fuck this crap, you can have it back.

punkworld we only used 'traffic trades or toplists' as an example, we do not condone any type of cheating. We're simply identifying traffic that will not earn any income in our program and allowing webmasters to redirect that traffic to a URL of their choice to try and make money, not telling them to cheat.

I guess you must have a toplist or something :)

Cyberotica is a good company with a solid reputation.

Not that I like agreeing with the fly, but I found that statement the fly found on cyberotica to be a wee bit offensive to me.

rather than say traffic trades or toplists why not say something like 'redirect this traffic to other sources" A re-write might be smart as I know MANY of cyberotica's clients are in fact traffic traders and toplists.

The way that was worded was in a manor that really was offensive to people who run their businesses based on traded traffic. I'm left with the impression that if I trade with someone who deals with cybererotica I'm gona trade good traffic for stuff that it's alomst impossible to make a sale from.

i would like to POLITLY suggest to Cyberotica that maybe a rewrite of the statement in question is in order.......
