it will be interesting to see what happens in the coming weeks, and as long as common sense prevails i would like to see both sides come together in a real consensus...without politics.

I've never been against smaller government. What I am against is the moronic conservatives that want smaller government when it comes to fucking over poor people here while rah rahing a trillion dollar war and grab ass private contracts to their little buddies. Yes, and even though it sucks someone had to be nearly killed it is great to see how fast the local govt buckled. i mean, that was freaking fast and i am sure they were sweating bullets about the potential fallout.

But he is there affiliated with the protesters. He's a protestor. Clearly he's never made over one million dollars in his life time, so he's obviously part of the 99%.

This man clearly isn't too smart. All he needs is some kind of incident similar to what took place in Oakland, and suddenly he's going to be a lone gunman armed with an assault rifle shooting at police.

It's because of the "We are the 99%" slogan. It should have been "We are the 99.9%" but that doesn't sound as nice.

You are not in control of anything, you do not benefit from big gov policies, you are not part of the group that benefits from regulations, you do not print money nor get that money directly sent to you, you do not bailout banks or get bailed your yourself - with our tax dollars, you do not call meetings of the fed at your will, you do not get billions after fucking up then pay yourself a bonus, and laugh about it.... we get busted for being out to late in a protest, they get away with committing the largest fraud in American history.

You do however, have to pay for it all... and your kids will pay for it, if they have any money left to pay for it with.

My advice is to not resist at all. Do not join any groups or get political. Distance yourself from any friends or family who want to get revolutionary because they will only atract negativity in your life. Cooperate 100% with law enforcement and do whatever you can to help them regardless if they are federal, state, or local. Avoid crowded areas where the sheep congregate such as sporting events, shopping malls, places of worship, public transportation, etc. Adapt to whatever economic and political system that will be offered to "save us". In the mean time you might want to get a small gauge shotgun and a few boxes of 00 buckshot from Wallyworld. A 20 gauge shotgun can be handled by just about anyone and is a great home defense weapon. Crime is going to soar in the not too distant future.

If you use the tax bracket... it's something like that.

But the 99% / 1% isn't about tax brackets, it's about wealth/power/control.

A person making 400k a year, has none of that. A person with billions that took billions in bonuses with our tax dollars and the politicians they pay off to allow that bullshit to happen, are part of the 1%...part of the problem if you would.

That's a level of power/control and wealth, none of us here have.

This might be a huge part of the problem. Everyone seems to think that to be in the top 1% you need to be making millions and millions of dollars. You don't. Seems that the $300k range gets you access into the 1% group.
