Major blow to tube sites
Judge: Tubes Cannot Profit from Users' Copyright Infringement
YNOT ? A U.S. District Court has awarded San Francisco, Calif.-based Titan Media more than $1.35 million in damages from a company owned by two German men. According to the judge?s ruling, Antelope Media LLC?s ?tube? site allowed users to infringe the gay adult studio?s intellectual property rights with impunity while Antelope profited from advertising and membership fees. Big thanks to Titan for standing up!

Good news, wonder how YouTube will take it?
|
Very nice!!!!
|
Wow that's a big one! These are the boyztube.com guys. Titan has been hunting them down for a lonngggg time. Also:
In order to give Titan an opportunity to collect on the summary judgment—rendered in default after the defendants failed to respond to Titan’s lawsuit—Chesney also permanently enjoined Antelope and its associates from transferring domain names and proceeds from domain operations until the judgment has been satisfied in full. nice! |
More will follow.
The silver lining behind the adult income decline was : We quit buying shit from other people and now they feel the economic impact of copyright infringement themselves and are waking the fuck up. |
I remember talking to the attorney Gil Sperlien at Internext... he had just served the monstercocktube guys who were swimming in the pool right behind him. We've often seen or heard about someone getting served at a show... perhaps we'll see more of it?

If they had responded to the claims they had at least delayed the whole process for a few months/years.
|
"The judgment may turn out to be the least of the German men?s woes. Reportedly well-known and liked within the gay adult industry, Palicki and Herrmann also own and operate the AlphaMaleCash affiliate program. Prior to service of the lawsuit, the connection between AlphaMaleCash and MonsterCockTube was not common knowledge. Subsequently, several large affiliate programs cut their ties to AlphaMaleCash."

looks like they defaulted and didn't even respond? not really precedent setting.

brassmonkey saying they did 10mil? Wow just shows he is completely clueless to tubes. If they did 10mil then Gaytube would be doing 50mil a year and it sure as hell isn't lol. |
It's not how much you make, its how much you keep. So true.
