Almost all the ministers of presidential office were killed, but this situation hardly involves the actual government. The government is a separate entity, as are lower and higher houses of the parliament. Tragic day for Poland none the less.

The discussion of replacing the presidential plane was ongoing for many years now, as the plane was nearly 20 years old and even had a nickname of 'Flying Coffin'. Every time the opposition kept claiming that the expense is unnecessary yet.

All the most important people in the polish government died, president of the country, president of the national bank, etc.

According to the polish constitution, the head of our congress takes over as president and appoints replacements for all the other constitutional positions to replace the people who were on board.

They have confirmed that it wasn't the fact that the plane was a shitbox, the plane was completely fine and it was due to super foggy conditions when they were trying to land. They tried to land 4 times and had to keep going around, and on the 4th time when going around a wing clipped some trees and took down the plane. Even if it were a brand new boeing right off the assembly line, the same thing would have happened. It was due to weather conditions and likely pilot error.

Well if God is real and he seems to fuck over those that worship the most I'd say God is an asshole. Just like a few years back when a tornado killed all those people in that church on Eatser Sunday. How nice of God to do that. Meanwhile me the athiest is still alive. Kind of proves either God isnt real, he has a sick sense of humor or he just doesn't give a shit. None of which is much of a motivation to give him my time or money.

I remember a news report about a tornado that hit a church when the congregation was inside and no one was killed but the church itself was rubble. The preacher said the Lord spared us and I thought to myself...well he spared you but he damn sure didn't like your church.

Sad news. Obviously the airfield or plane were not equipped for landing in bad weather. Major airports and planes have a system of navigation that allows for blind landings.

Or it was simply pilot error...so it is not so obvious at this point in time...now is it?
