I'm Ukrainian, actually Ukrainian-American with mix of different bloods - Ukrainian, Russian, may be some Polish and probably a bit of Mongol Genghis Khan in the mix from way back.
Why would I hate my own? I don't agree with some yes, I don't think Ukrainian government does good for their people, no hate. Wish to see all humanity prosper in civilized manner.


Ukraine is very divided country, west and east - two sides which can never agree on anything together, even in todays world, Ukrainian politics prove it every day.
If you go far west in Ukraine, yes Russians are not liked, westerners don't appreciate Russian strong cultural influence for past historic reasons and them being nationalists - i don't blame them, half of Ukraine speaks Russian for instance, it's my native language too. I accept all Slavic people as my own. and yes we can make 'racist' jokes between each other (not to strangers obviously) without meaning harm and hate to anyone because our nations have so much in common and shared. although i don't disqualify that some actually may hate one another for their own reasons.

Don't understand me wrong, but even if it's an "old" plane, the TU-134 is one of the reliable planes in the world. And the most probably reason for the crash is that a pilot made a mistake, like the officials said.

One thing for rumors is the fact, that the delegation was on the way to a memorial for Polish people killed by the KGB ;-)

Anyone who's every flown a plane, been in a small plane, flown with a pilot, etc... KNOWS that you do NOT ignore ATC traffic or you will have all flight privileges revoked upon landing... they do not fuck around with that shit...

If they were ignoring ATC then something was up aboard that plane, no doubt in my mind.

At the airport there was no ILS, which allows automatic landing during fog and the pilot had to perform the landing manually. Do not see the airport runway and it was the main cause of the accident. It is a pity that he did not fly to another airport, as was suggested by a control tower.
