I still can't believe that people in our own industry wanted revenge and called the authorities in to investigate this. It was a dead issue until now.

This definitely ain't a good thing for anybody. No matter the outcome, the media will make this sound like all of us are bad guys.

And even if DirtyD is found "innocent", it won't matter. He is ruined. And our business will get a further black eye. And the stupid 2257 laws will be re-written again to make it even harder for honest people to make a living in adult.

This is a lose/lose for everybody in this business.

I think it still has fmltube written all over it, especially after the revelation in this article that police acted after receiving a letter. Perhaps it was a letter from Amsterdam or wherever he/she is or claims to be.

If it was fmltube, that leads to a second question ... do we really consider him/her to be a industry person? He/she had a tube site where far too many of the sponsor vids didn't even match to the appropriate link codes. That site didn't last long. At the time we were told that it came down because something better was coming ... just visited the site and it redirects to the ******** post about Kelsie Cummings.

You're right. Which kinda goes to show what has happened to GFY. I've said it over and over...8 years ago it was okay to have this forum wide open. Now? It needs to be shut down to the general public.

This is the result of our business being open to outsiders and they get caught up in the drama, learn some terminology over the years, and then think they are in this business.

I think in 2010 it is time to make GFY an industry only board. I know 90% of the people who are friends of mine in this business will NOT post on here because they are afraid of having their livelihood damaged.

Look at how many businesses have already suffered from having a presence here. Hell, if you think about it, there are only a couple of dozen programs that will post anything here anymore. This is supposed to be the place where the industry meets. But it sure has become a place where the industry gets destroyed.

Things would be a lot different if it was industry only and NO nicks...just real names and businesses.

How many times over the last couple of years have we seen people come on here and say that they are going to take down the adult industry? And they start writing letters to every agency under the sun. Why do we facilitate our own demise?

Unfortunately for D, I doubt the fake ID is a legal defense to the charges in Florida. Bottom line if someone on your site is underage you?re responsible no matter if they lied and even intentionally tried to deceived you with fake docs.

Robbie, I think you're right for the GFY issue. Unfortunately, GFY has grown to be what it is because of the way it is. If your suggestion is going to happen, it's most definately on some other board.

You can't just erase the GFY everyone knows and start it over again.

i wont name any names, but i know of a photographer who filmed a girl softcore that gave him a fake id and he beat the charge. im sure hardcore is different, not to mention that hes in a different state.

Didn't know he/she (about 40% of me thinks it really could be a she) admitted to not being in the industry -- not that we needed clarification based on their site.

As for the second part, I was referring to stickyfingerz popping up into threads saying that Kelsey had been after D for years and that it probably wasn't fmltube. The only thing that didn't make sense about "Kelsey being after him for years" was that all she had to do was pick up a phone and call the authorities.

Perhaps Kelsey was after him and it does sound like stickyfingerz knew more about the situation than most, but I always suspected the timing since it all went down shortly after that epic thread and fmltube saying she was/did turn him in.

Interesting ... just read that thread and while there were a few legit people against your idea, the ones that battled you hardest were also the ones that a few members here have bitched about.

Perhaps a different solution to achieve the same thing would be to have it so that Eric continues to clean house and new people that want to get on board have to be vouched for by an established member.

I actually had a few failed attempts at joining GFY. I did it from addresses tied to my sites, did it a few times and my account was never activated. I lurked for a long time, unable to post. One day, I really wanted to post about something and sent an ICQ to someone else here who got in touch with Eric, who instantly approved me.

I'm almost certain I was a member in 2002. I really wish I could figure out that login info.
