US Marine Talks To His Congressman
What do you think? |
I think he has big moobs. Must have been awhile since active duty...
I am glad to hear that this guy has never been to the VA hospital. |
I could also hear the terror in his voice.
I thought we trained our Marine's to be big, strong confident men? Not fat little sissy boys. |

Just because he served in the Military, doesn't make him right about anything he decides to yell about. |

Too extreme. Even if he's not, he acts like a plant. There are a gagillion ways to debate an issue without screaming, throwing around baseless accusations (I'm so sure the Congressman has yet to "uphold his oath") and bringing Nazis into it. That's just rabble-rousing crap.

Umm no, it's just calling a spade a spade pardon the pun.. All these hard core right wing wacko's hear all this BS about socialists and their newest craze "nazis" on the right wing talk shows.. Then they run around foaming at the mouth about it like rabid dogs.. Right wingers call it "talking points".. I call it a bunch of brain washed morons babbling. |

Just another angry white person convention. I turned it off when he said Nazi ... . Now back to what I was watching before

I didn't think so.. |
Why not look into taking away the tax deduction for employer-provided health insurance?

I bet Nazi's would not have been brought into it if his own congressman did not call him a brown shirt :2 cents: |

btw wanna know another sure way to spot a right wing whack job? You notice when they bring up the name "Nancy Pelosi" into a totally unrelated conversation. I dunno what it is, but Nancy Pelosi, damn sure knows how to make right wingers heads explode, which means she must be doing something right. Another way is when they post non stop on GFY telling us how bad Obama is.. |
Quote:
If that was a jab at me. I voted for Obama. Do you stop questioning the government when your guy wins? Damn this country is totally fucked. |

If you haven't figured it out, I am just fighting these dumb asses with comments that are as dumb as their original ones. |

But this guy, all he did was shout a bunch without saying anything or adding anything of substance to the debate. At least he didn't bring up any bullshit like "death panels" and "no eye care until you're blind" and "killing grandma" etc. etc. etc. Though maybe he did, it was kind of hard to tell with the shouting. |
so his bitch is about talking to his kids or whatever? why is that wrong now since wasnt it the right's demi-god ronald reagan who started the dare program. same one that was trying to have kids turn their parents in to the government.
i also assume he has private insurance right. otherwise would he not have va which would be controlled by the government anyways and if that is the case then yes they could tell him shit. odds are he is receiving benefits from several govenment programs, though those are all ok. just the idea of medicare for everyone as an option is to extreme and do not even go near insurance companies rights to deny coverage for pre existing conditions. |
Comparing anything that is going on now to nazis shows that the guy probably didn't take advantage of the GI bill and acquire an education.
|
This is someone who already gets government healthcare. its too funny and the whole nazi bullshit is a right wing talking a point. its sad they are getting these people to go against their own best interests. If the right really feels this one then they should push for a bill to get rid of medicare and social security. fuck its even got the word social in it. lol

Here is the problem when people start bringing up Nazis in any conversation. It instantly brands you as an extremist and someone who can't be reasoned with. It is that way on either side of the fence.
When Bush was in office the left called him a Nazi. Now that Obama is the right is calling him a Nazi. As soon as someone calls someone a Nazi many people tune out because they know it doesn't matter what they say to that person it won't change their mind. Here is my question about all the people who are suddenly wanting to protect the country and wanting government out of their lives. Where have they been for the last 8 years? Bush signed the patriot act which allows for wireless wiretapping and spying on citizens. He created an entire new branch of government with the Dept. of Homeland Security. He gave billions to big business who used it to move jobs out of this country. He got us involved in a war that cost billions, if not trillions and now we are learning that we knew before hand that he had a pretty good idea that there were no WMDs before the invasion ever took place. And through it all these people never said a word. Why are they all of a sudden so pissed off? |
Everyone can pretend to know the sentiment of Americans right now but it is just guesswork because of all the bullshit and lies government and the media is feeding us. Way too much spin and bias ON BOTH SIDES.
The next election cycle will tell us exactly what people are thinking. I for one think a lot of seats will be changing hands. The arrogance in Washington is at an absolute all time high. Those fuckers don't act or speak like they are working for us. Their egos are way out of control. If you still think, vote or speak along party lines you are a fucking moron. |

i am sick of the election talk. everyone is always campaigning because of it and nothing ever gets done because everyone gets worried about getting elected again. it should be obvious the majority of these people at the town halls are plants. really shows when they use the same talking points down to the same verbiage. then to make matters worse it works and people get worried about the election and they start to lower what they are trying to do.
matters are even more fucked up due to the fact that the majority of voters are under educated, do no research, and the assorted news outlets all just cover the spin and arguments. rarely do you ever see anyone giving out any simple real information. most political talk about issues instead are left or right attack ads instead and they just repeat more jabs or counter the other sides jabs again avoiding the real laws. |
I'm a former US Marine, and I would never dream of speaking to a police officer this way, no less a Congressman.
Something doesn't sit well with me after watching. This man claims he is a "disabled veteran". Doesn't this mean that he already has free fucking medical benefits for the rest of his life? The really funny part about all of this is that we really don't have a choice where we get medical care. If you think about it, our employer chooses who we get. If we are lucky, our employer might have a few options for us. But at the end of the day, we don't get to choose jack shit with benefits. |

You're twisting my words but you're right healthcare is a real problem and an issue that needs to be dealt with. It doesn't mean that we all need to agree that Obama's approach is right and we all need to support him. A high majority of people in this country are employed and have healthcare. So my statement wasn't talking about the feelings of whether healthcare is broke, it is. I was talking about how people felt about the way their elected officials are going about this whole thing. Personally I hope Democrats do jam it through with no Republican support then we will see in the next election where voters stand on this issue for real. I still want to know why the politicians and other assorted government workers will be exempt from the new healthcare 'rules' as the bills being put forth stand right now... |

And one thing that really REALLY pisses me off about the misinformation being actively spread around is this "death panel" thing. As someone who's had to deal with close relatives who were in bad shape toward the end, end-of-life counseling is a VERY GOOD thing. It gives the patient information about what options they have, based on their particular situation. It does NOT decide anything for you, it does NOT dictate anything for you. Unless I'm mistaken, the plan was to allow doctors to bill for end-of-life counseling for a patient once every 5 years. This would've been a VERY GOOD THING and now it's being scuttled thanks to Palin and her hare-brained cockamamie "death panel" bullshit. Thanks, Sarah, let's hope your parents don't ever need end-of-life counseling. |

This is exactlly it.. Soon as they start talking about socialist and "Nazi's I just tune them out, because it's clear they are going to be like talking to a brick wall and probably about as smart as one. I also want to know where all these hard core Republicans were, whom talk about protecting their country the last 8 years when Bush was in Office. It seems they were very conveniently absent at protesting everything Bush did to take away their rights. Yet they pop up out of the wood work like files on shit soon as it's a Democrat in power. |

Sounds like the government is already running health care! |

Even if you don't like the health care plan on the table, you should believe something needs to change. We pay double what most countries do and live shorter lives. Somewhere along the lines we have to sit down and say "we aren't getting good value here". The problem is that this country needs smart people to sit down and figure it out. Find a plan that works for the country. There are lots of ideas. But we have dolts like this who are just mad the black guy got elected and are now going to shit on whatever idea he has to make up for it. |
